this was a very interesting and thoughtful piece of work!! I like the focus that both you and the film put on compassion-- while this is obviously a new spin on it, I think that compassion and love are the core of the Beauty and the Beast story. it's gotten a lot of flack in recent years for being about stockholm syndrome, which i think does the story a disservice. it really is just about caring another person, and i like that this film brought that theme to the forefront. grreat video :) really got me thinking

Sorry if I’m late, A big thank to you J-Man for doing my requested movie I asked, this movie almost connected me to Suzu and my life. I can see myself as Suzu both mentally & emotionally since most people (mostly from my mind think I’m not good enough, A line from Million Miles Away “At times I thought I’m not Enough”.) and her choosing to sing to help her cope through her depression is almost the same way how I choose to from a young age to help me cope through my hardest times like her ❤

@@adifferentperspectivewithj4458 Thanks for your response J Man, it meant so much to much when I saw how you analyzed and interpreted your own perspective in the film and how it made me think and feel more connected to the film itself and may I ask did the film almost felt like it was a mirror to your own life?

@@austintandoc8187 In a lot of ways yes. I think a lot of people can relate to that shy, awkward teenager who needs another realm to escape to (as it were), as well as the desperate need to help someone who is clearly suffering. Not to mention, the songs make me shed a tear or two.

@@adifferentperspectivewithj4458 I see thanks for that response J-Man also i noticed lots of details from the film (but 2 that stand out to me) that I would like to point out: 1: The lyrics that spin around Suzu/Belle when they sing in U only happens when she is sad/nervous and overtime they disappear the more she grows more confident in her singing. 2: During the intro with the song “U” when we first meet Belle she was riding on her friend the Whale (probably one of the voices of U) singing an upbeat PoP song where confettis scatter everywhere but when it slowly zooms into Belle they only go in one direction (to the left) and they are only white in colour which later mixes with Belle’s colourful flowers. And when Belle performs “A Million Miles Away” the other 3 whales from her live concert join in with her and the giant whale (implying they are also the voices of U) to sing her last song and it mirrors the same scene from the intro albeit with glowing orbs of light floating in different directions, taking place at night and the song is more of an orchestrated ballad with everyone singing with Belle (in my words) closing her performance as the arc from U has come to an end (in which is a nice touch in my opinion) with the rest of the film focusing on the real world.
