Golfing the Villages is an independent channel dedicated to bringing you all the golf related content from The Villages. The Villages is a 55+ active senior retirement community located in central Florida. We are located about an hour away north of Orlando, and about and hour and a half from Tampa Bay.
In this video, I'm taking you on a tour of The Villages, Florida, home of the gorgeous Belle Glade Country Club Championship Golf Course. This golf community is filled with amazing golf courses, delicious restaurants, and fun people. I'll show you around the golf communities, show you the course, and give you some tips on how to play the course. This particular video is an on course golf vlog which was filmed and played on November 4, 2023 at Belle Glade Country Club Championship Golf Course. The course features three separate nine hole tracks with six different teeing locations. During this shoot I played the Seminole course and I played from the black tees, which are the tips. Nevertheless, sit back, relax and enjoy the sights, sounds, and people who all call this gorgeous place of The Villages home.

Thank you so much for the kind comment, I must admit I am not familiar with that teacher I will certainly look him up. I wish I could say my swing was natural but it requires me to maintenance it on an almost daily basis. Thank You so much!

I played Belle Glade (Tequesta/Seminole) last week. 👍🏻 I liked the layout. Wide open fairways. Few if any trees. Water & bunkers never really came into play. Greens were rolling nice, with some subtle undulations. I was second group off Tequesta (I too played alone), finished the front-9 quickly and had to wait for 3 or 4 groups to make the turn on Seminole (which took an hour longer to play due to the groups in front of me). 🙄 Loved that 6th hole (dogleg right). I too pulled my tee shot left there, but still made par even after a longer approach shot than I wanted. Nice houses along there. I also pulled my tee shot on #7, thought I bounced over the cart path, but was actually pin high. What do they say? … 60 yard bunker shot, the toughest shot in golf (your shot on #8) Ah, the joys of playing an unfamiliar course for the first time. I also noticed it was mostly women playing midday. I’ve heard from several sources that, in general, the women are better players than the men in the Villages. Don’t know if that’s true, but they wouldn’t be playing the more expensive championship courses if the didn’t have game. And, did you see in last weeks Senior Games, three women Villagers won Gold and one Silver; no men Villagers medalled.

As always great comment. I can't wait to give Taquesta a try, sorry to hear that the turn slowed your round down. Yes Seminole six is a faders paradise hole, if you can hit a long high cut you are golden. Those 50-60 yard shots are hard and tell me where I can go to practice to get the feel for that shot? That is an interesting observation about the women golfers in the Villages. I am aware that their are a few professional women golfers who have settled down here and I personally adore women golfers. I think it's fantastic that we can all play a game together while also being social at the same time. GOLF is so amazing. Great comment as usual. Thank You.

Hi big guy enjoy your video I don’t want to sound stupid but when you say you hit the ball fat what does that mean?

Hello, no problem fat, or heavy is when you make contact with the ground before the ball. (some people say I hit the big ball {earth} before the little ball {golf ball}) This action slows the club head down reducing the swing speed and usually compromises the overall quality of the contact. Ideally your first contact is ball then turf. Never fear asking a question, thank you so much.
