Scramble Series with

Golfing the Villages is an independent channel dedicated to bringing you all the golf related content from The Villages. The Villages is a 55+ active senior retirement community located in central Florida. We are located about an hour away north of Orlando, and about and hour and a half from Tampa Bay.
This particular video is the inaugural video launching the Golfing The Villages Scramble Series. This particular scramble was filmed and played on August 26, 2023 at Palmer Legends Country Club Championship Golf Course. My special guest for this episode was Eric from @HoselRocketGolf. Please make sure you show his channel some support as well with likes and subs. This championship course features three separate nine hole tracks with six different teeing locations. During this shoot we played the Cherry Hill/Riley Grove rotation from the gold tees, which are one up from the tips. This collaboration was done in two parts with the second part on Eric's channel to follow shortly after this one is posted.
I personally adore Palmer designed courses because Arnie didn't try and trick you. He didn't make things overly complicated. He rewarded good shots and turned away bad ones. Also he kept things open and in front of you so you could enjoy watching the shots land never wondering where your ball went. Nevertheless, sit back, relax and enjoy the sights, sounds, and people who all call this gorgeous place of The Villages home.

Such a fun round Rick! Amy did a great job filming and the edit was amazing! The granite hole signage was an awesome touch. As you mentioned, we ham and egged well throughout the round but certainly feel you did most of the heavy lifting. Rolling putts the way you did really saved us. You also absolutely bombed that tee shot on 7. "That ball is going yard but a neighbor's yard" had me dying. I was unfazed by the geese only because I didn't see them lol. Our second shots on 9 were just for comedic effect. Some of my putts were tough watching back but we still managed to put up a respectable score on a new course essentially from the tips. Hope to do it again sooner than later!

It really was Eric, I had a blast as well. I can't wait until you come back and we tackle another course. I think it was a great team effort with lots of good shots by both of us to keep the round going. However you really carried us on the back nine which is still to come. I do hope the people from your channel enjoy our collaborative effort as well.

I played the Palmer courses a lot it is my favorite course, I don’t know is you golfed Cane Gardens yet it’s my second favorite

Yes the Arnold Palmer courses are near the top of my list for sure and those views at Riley Grove are spectacular. I have yet to golf Cane Gardens I will add it to our list since you requested it.

Hello, Thank you for enjoying the channel. All my current shorts are Callaway Big and Tall, I usually try to catch them on sale or during a promotion. I do have a couple of Under Armor and Adidas shorts as well.
