@@thesagecc hi!! Let me know if there is a better way to get this information from you. I haven’t watched all of the videos just yet since I will plan to watch them again once I officially start! But I was wondering if you had any tips? Any organizational tips? What worked for you on getting the assignments or readings done each week. I am nervous about that part with staying organized. So any tips on that would be truly so helpful! Thank you for responding😊

@@binishamaharjan418 hi there, be very organized, don’t cram do chunks, cite your work, and keep a log of the research articles you use. Be organized would mean create an excel spreadsheet or google sheet with column headers that make sense to you so you can easily find articles required you have read, what you read about them, and the citation. Don’t cram do chunks would mean there is toooooooo much to read and it would be information overload to try to do so, do an hour here and there each day versus sitting down and doing it all one night. Cite your work means when you make a statement you need proof of that from research that is statistically proven (i.e. According to Wright et al (2023), “Engagement is a key to higher productively in organizational settings” p. 3). Keep a log of your articles means keep another spreadsheet of articles so you can quickly find them and even create a tab based on a topic of interest for later in the program you will need to find a gap in research on that topic of interest. Your workload is probably 10 to 15 hours of reading/research and 5 to 10 doing the work and maybe less if you are organized. Do not over complicate the assignments as they leave you wiggle room to interpret the assignment and maybe even apply it to what you are experiencing at work. Also, use your assignments to network at work or in the industry you want to work… “hey I have an assignment on engagement and I see you are an engagement manager, can we spend 15 minutes talking about what engagement means for our company?” Doing that frequently will lead to more opportunities. Be selective about your study group but have at least one person to check in on and to check on you. Practice good mental health hygiene and use LinkedIn to your advantage. Lastly, think about your end goal and how each assignment connects to that end goal, you’d be surprised you may use a paper you wrote to help with an assignment at work that no one knows about… it literally happened to me a few months ago. Hope this helps, good luck.
