Very interesting, the David B is a remarkable boat, beautifully restored. Must have been a thrill to be aboard her. I think the older boats have so much more character than modern ones. I've always wanted to stop in that cove you were in off Decatur too but never have. It's on the list now, thanks. Another good video.

Great video as always. I think I saw that spot on Decater on the map. I haven’t been there yet, so it’s definitely on my list. Thanks for sharing. I seem to always go around Lopez sound on the way back to the Washington Park boat launch. So I need to get in there and slow down. Cheers looking forward to next video!

Thanks! It’s a nice spot, but as I found, not as protected from wind as I thought it would be. It gets shallow real quick, so keep an eye on your depth and don’t venture in too far. Happy cruising!

I would like to know how you rigged your dinghy to tow it at planing speed from Tollycraft????

I’ve never towed at planing speed, but I have towed with a 50’ tow line attached to the towing eye in the bow of the dinghy hull. I used a pre-spliced line that you would use for a towable tube. In this video, I was just above an idle.
