Thanks for this, one of the better surf vids I have seen in the while, with a good mix of slomo but mostly real time edits. Really tired of the over use of slomo on so many vids, Mr. Bonython in particular has a chronic problem, as great as his footage is.

just wow. the level of surfing is thru the roof, insane to see everybody pulling in regardless of the closeouts. surfing really is the most amazing sport on earth. i don't imagine ever watching a bunch of hobby basketball players playing a game, or some weekend soccer match... or two randoms playing tennis. surfing is THE sport

Back in 1987 while bicycle touring in Australia, I just happened by Bell's Beach when they were surfing competition as part of the world Tour. The first day I was there it was just a typical good surf day, but the second day a big swell rolled in and most competitors were on long boards and wearing helmets and a good ride was just not getting wiped out.

beautiful and not one stupid helicopter aerial in site. There's nothing like watching a good long forehand carve up under the lip and the fins drifting..those walls looked perfect for doing carving 360's too, never see anyone try them though.
