This really is a concentrated event of why people quit the game. Bugs, fix bugs, players that got it keep it, groups that won't accept invites unless you have the right gear, you now can't get that gear. Login, play the intended way and find out that you are doing it wrong.

Point being ive played since the end of vanilla..skipped a few xpacs here and there..but..aside from TBC (my main play time) and Legion...this is an amazing time for wow. Remix is fun...SoD was nostalgic and funish...retail is fun. Slow Down. Enjoy the game. You dont have to be a sweaty tryhard to just Enjoy a fun game.

Biggest mistake IMO is having to use Bronze for equipment upgrades. That should have been for cosmetics only. Earning exp is what should lvl up your gear

Don't really need to max upgrade with bronze, just do the cheap like 8-50 upgrades which is super negligible while leveling - doing that and building your kit wisely, have encountered 0 progression walls so far 1-66.

Yeah, I don't get the idea of upgrading. Spending nearly 60K Bronze just to fully upgrade a piece of armor (when you can't even do that because you have to evenly spread out the upgrades amongst your armor,) only to lose all this power in three months. Because come TWW, everyone (at least those at level 70) are going to be given 550 items and most of the items in our bags will be lost. I'm not even sure if we'll be able to keep the bags themselves.

My plan is to just do all of the questing at a chill pace, spend 0 bronze on gear upgrades, prioritize spending my bronze on new mounts and toys, then on old mounts and toys I don't have, and if I have bronze left over after that THEN I'll buy transmogs. And I don't really think I want to make a ton of alts to run through MoP Remix with. I already have like 10 level 70 alts. I don't need 10 more, I'm just never going to use any of them again. Also MoP Remix feels like SoD on crack.

Exactly what I did and unknowingly I was able to acquire the Astral Emperor’s Serpent mount in no time, was able to buy the astral mount by doing chill LFR raids, dungeons and scenarios as well. Quite easy without upgrading gear. Dmg is bad at 70 due to unbalanced scaling but I could live with it. Doing dragon riding for bronze in Kunlai Summit while waiting for LFR also helped a lot.

Try Ward normal raids. I had no issues after getting both trinkets and both rings, doing all zone quests except for a few put me at 600 main stat, 7k stamina on my cloak and a little bronze to upgrade some blues to ilvl 360. Most bosses will be either oneshot or go below 30% hp and be easily nuked down to 10% at which point Slay will do the rest. Throne of thunder and siege of orgrimmar may be more difficult and require some coordination but at the end of the day they were fairly easy to do with 3-5 wipes on the more difficult fights.

Just make your own Raid. There are a lot of people trying to find a raid. So just build your own. I do it just like that and I get every raid cleared everyday besides ToT because the last bosses are PAIN with randoms 😅

Not mentioned here - harder difficulities drop higher quality gear. Your green chest and the rare blue heroic dungeon chest are not the same. You should basically never waste bronze upgrading a green quality item.

Really hope they increase the thread drops rates and increase its over benefit. Tried to sign up for a few only heroic groups. The required that I have ward. Check. Here’s the kicker frogger req. so not only are they unkillable they one shot it. Yet they won’t invite anyone who didn’t farm frogs. Help the pugs Blizz. I truly hope every week there is a substantial increase to average players power. And not just those who spammed a macro to target frogs/cast starfall and looterang who get to have all the achievements and mogs/mounts. @@DerTechNick thats the point, blizz tuned the raids so that u had to take advantage of a macro to kill frogs for hours, but then blizz nerfed it. and the people who played the game as it was supposed to be played, by doing the cheeves to unlock the extra gear, didnt get anywhere close to strong enough via the gear unlocks to compete with frog farmers. so basically you HAD to abuse an exploit to do heroic raiding in the remix, as playing the game as intended doesnt get you strong enough, unless u farm the shit out of bronze and uopgrade ur gear. which is why this person commented they hope we get a power boost weekly because not a lot of ppl r gonna spend bronze on gear when they can buy mounts/mog.

I'm not really sure what the term "for fun mode" means when you will be able to use the characters that have been leveled in normal gameplay after the event ends. There's a reason they level all the way to 70 and can have comparable gear levels by spending Bronze. The spirit of the game mode is yo have fun, sure, but the characters made have real impact going forward, just minus all the interesting bonuses from the game mode.

This game mode has an impact on regular servers, therefore labeling it as "just for fun" makes very little sense. The event is an alt leveling bonus and/or a way to revisit an expansion that one enjoyed or may not have experienced. This isn't Plunderstorm where the gameplay is totally different and the only rewards are cosmetics. You get a fully leveled, fully functional character out of MoP Remix, plus the ability to earn permanent rewards in the form of Cosmetics, Mounts, AND achievements (which will also roll over into your permanent account).

I do wanna point out and correct you on one specific point. Not everything is equally obtainable out of timerunning. If I buy a warrior tier set in timerunning, I can mog it with my pally. So I will be able to attain full sets of other classes that I am locked out of getting in retail. Unless they change that retroactively.

Justmy2cents, but I have a blast playing this version of MoP. Sure the 65-70 is slow, but I never felt bad at that range. I play my fury warrior for a bit, then roll some alts and get them to max level, maybe get a mount and some transmogs and be done with it. I think people should be more relaxed when it comes to these wow-experiments. Especially, as you said, most things are available in retail right now. Enjoy the crazy gems and silly scaling :)

when you do domination point, you can go attack the beachhold of the other faction. we came across this randomly on monday night. we got a LOT of bronze and threads and all the mobs hyper spawn in close proximity. we woke up tuesday after reset expecting it to be nerfed. it wasnt. also using the bee's item and the yak helps a lot to mass gather and kill. we are horde, and the mobs spawn on the docks, the city, and the beach before u can clear each area. no idea how it compares to goats but its certainly a lot and really easy no group needed.

This is my opinion but I finally leveled to 70 and feel like everything is soooo expensive for how much bronze you get. I love Remix and will hit 70 in three more levels, after which I’m going to start it again on an Alliance Timerunner because as a Horde player I’ve mostly forgotten the Alliance’s story over the years. Getting lots of sets for transmog that I never completed when MoP was released and didn’t farm for after the expansion ended. I hope that they do this for other expansions as well, perhaps about once a year.

They need to nerf the cloaks that were done by the frog method. The 25% buff applies to EVERYONE, including those who did the frogs all weekend so that gap in player power is juat gonna be the same if not grow. Having people in game walking around with thousands of stats and over 100k stamina is broken. It ruins it for everyone else that didn't exploit the frogs. It's gonna take the entire time the event is running to not even get close to that kinda power....it was an exploit...they need to fix the cloaks.

I’ve been playing since TBC and MoP remains one of my personal favorite expansions. I wasn’t one of those who were butthurt about giant talking panda-people in a game with giant talking cow-people and giant talking goat-people from outer space. I loved the music, and one of my favorite things was to just hang out in Halfhill when there was a thunderstorm rolling through the zone. I wish that we could still work on the Tillers faction and grow veggies again but it is what it is. I’ve enjoyed the crap out of the Remix and have gotten myself some great transmogs that I just never completed during the expansion or farmed afterwards, and a new mount to boot. I plan on getting all of the sets for transmog and the remaining mounts before Remix ends. I hope that they do this for other expansions perhaps once, maybe twice a year.

For the most part Mounts, however there are a few things that are obtainable again that were not previously like the heirlooms that dropped from Garrosh. Along with unlocking entire class set transmogs is a lot easier since you just spend bronze for a full set unlock instead of farming each individual piece

I haven't had time to try the remix yet, but the only cosmetics I'm interested in are the pally weapon recolors, and getting a few alts ready for the War Within. Though I wonder how much bronze I'll have to blow on gear upgrades to get through those last few levels.

I know it’s not crazy efficient or anything but what’s working for me is just qing up for scenarios, dungeons and raids at all the same time. The scenario eats up the dungeon timer, and the dungeon eats up the raid timer. If not just re q for a scenario. Like I said maybe not efficient but it leaves me with zero dead time and constantly getting scrolls and bronze

I do have quite a bit of fun with MOP remix but the upgrade system is the dumbest feature I've seen in quite a lot of years, maybe only short of the ridiculous scaling. Both basically kils the fun for me while playing a maxlvl char, so for now its -> level a char to 25, do the raid -> next char -> continue until stupid exp gains and then just level a bunch of chars to maxlvl for the heritage armor and mounts.

Can we get a list of purchasable items that no longer drop or are really low drop rates? That would give us a list of priority items to get here in Remix and allow us to use retail to get the low hanging fruit later.

so I thought I was doing pretty good by jumping in an leveling up to 70 fairly quickly. My Brewmaster monk is closing in on 1million HP which I thought was respectable. Today, in a raid, a shammy healer was the top of the DPS/heals chart. He was sitting at 5.6 million health. Gear up level 542 except the rings, trinkets and necklaces. Needless to say, I was humbled.

You should make a comprehemsive list of what items are unique to MOP Remix and what ones can be farmed in retail. With locations you can aquire them, i feel like that would be a great resource guide for people like me who are not knowledgeable enough to know but dont want to waste bronze on something they can get somewhere else.

Since nearly all raids and dungeon groups want froggers, how are regulars supposed to farm raids now? All Bliz did was punish those who didn't, they have done nothing to balance out the effect so the effect is still ongoing. Since this remix is supposed to be a powertrip fun run, why the grind? Why make people not able to be powerful? Wasn't that the POINT? They need to buff even more bronze gain AND buff cloak upgrades for people below a certain buff level on their cloaks. Thus folks can reach some level of parity, with time, say a month, as the froggers. As it stands, anyone other than froggers will NEVER reach the froggers level of power in Remix. I was going to resub because of this and I am glad I held off. I can do everything I need at level 20. Everything I needed to know was Bliz is literally patching out ANY FUN that people find in Remix. The power-crazy they promised? Patching it out at every chance.

To think I actually leveled, Heroics, LFR and didn't farm frogs. I remember back during MOP about the frogs being the place to farm repeatedly. Didn't want to risk a ban because it is obviously abuse of game mechanics. I did the "right" thing and not cheese the content by farming frogs (IMHO Exploit early, Exploit often till nerfed). Now it is almost impossible to actually get in a Pug Raid because I didn't exploit. If Blizzard is going to let those who did farm frogs to get super OP to keep the ill-gotten gains then Blizzard should drastically drop the costs and let the players go nuts. It is only a temporary playstyle and won't affect end game progress. But I doubt Blizzard will do that and just sucks to the people who didn't cheat to win.

Gems scale with the ilvl of the item you socket them in, so it doesn't really matter

UPDATE: with the new Spools of Infinite Thread, do your Daily Dungeon, Raid and Scenario as well as World Boss kills on your main to catch up to the Frogslayers and eventually Solo MoP Remix.

The way Blizzard handled the exploit really soured my enjoyment of the event. Add on the scaling issues making me feel weaker as I level and the idiotic decision to use bronze for rewards and upgrades (anima anyone?). I may just end up finishing the run to 70, spend what bronze I have and quit. I don’t doubt blizzard will tweak things later but later is too late. I’m spending my time in the event right now. ‘Later” I’ll be done and gone.

I wasn't there during the frogs farm of Remix and all of that stuff. But I don't know, it's iconic to MoP, why nerf it to the ground ? Maybe they should have slightly nerf it and/or buff the rewards you get from dungeons, raids, quests and so on. That way, people who want to farm frogs can still do it, can feel tedious but rewarding. And if you don't want to engage with that, at least the usual stuff would be more rewarding

Yes. I’ve been playing it normally and going through content as intended. I’ve been awarded accordingly and the only thing I “sweat” to complete are dailies. All the KZbinrs and influencers literally racing to finish this content are ruining it for themselves and everyone else who follows suit.

It depends how good the healers are and if they are used the right way. Not to early, not to latel, the tank that is not tanking, etc. Edit. As far as i understand it is only nerfed in combionation with other skils from druid for example. If they didnt use that or are other tanks it does the same amount of damage.
