hey ,if anyone else trying to find out how to belly dance for beginners try Tarbetti Instant Dancing Tutor(do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my brother in law got amazing success with it.

There are a few ideas you can try 1. try the circle first This move is the sexiest and easiest. All you have to do is feel the joints of your hip and shoulder and make a circle. 2. look for some online videos to follow. (I learned these and more tips on gabs mover crusher website )

sis what do u mean by tribal? when u say tribal moves are those still Egyptian? cuz im Egyptian and i dont want to steal any moves that arent from my cultures since thats appropriation. Yall take notes; dont appropriate cultures that arent yours. Sahira doing it is fine since shes not white. Also great tutorial!

Hi Ayla! Thanks for asking. When I say tribal I am referring to the belly dance genre called "tribal style" - which is a modern style that began here in the US and utilizes movements from a variety of folkloric dances. Thanks for watching!

Wait but most Egyptians I’ve talked to about cultural appropriation said that belly dance isn’t bad to do if you’re white as long as you don’t profit from and avoid jewellery or head coverings with religious or super cultural meaning??

@@jessyhayward9544 that makes 0 sense and no number of us u claim to speak to will ever make it make sense. Belly dancing: The moves, the form the whole dance, is just like the jewelry and coverings: Part of our culture. When a whitey (colonizers with a history of stealing artifacts and cultures from literally everyone) tries to learn bellydancing for aesthetic reasons it loses its meaning. Culture appropriation is bad even if INDIVIDUALS give u a pass.

Ayla Samara I’m not learning it got the aesthetic, definitely not. I’m learning it because it’s a beautiful dance that I can actually do despite my chronic pain. I actually want to learn it. And yes the whole dance is cultural, but it’s spread to more than just one culture and is also a huge part of American culture since the 1940s.
