I’m very honoured my friend. Such gracious words/ thank you:)) I’ve always kept that in my mind when dancing. Even though I’m a guy, doesn’t mean I should dance effeminate. My sister took me to see male strippers once. They were famous performers then. I was fine when I sat really far from the performer. But, I saw women tipping the guys. I thought they were interrupting them. But, my sister said they like the tips and at the end of the dancing, they don't always wait for tips. They just leave. 🤔😒 Maybe, that's what the woman was thinking here. He did deserve tips. 👍🏼😊

Hahah I wasn’t expecting it to be honest. He was the father of the bride..it was very kind of him because he was showing his appreciation but hahah you totally saw what I was thinking… Tipping stopped being a thing I believe before I started dancing years ago, and even still.. Jalissa Bunnyhop That wedding must be in an Arabic country..It's a tradition at most of them..Is not ofenssive but the opossite..the artists must feel honored because that means they are doing an amazing performance

The wedding was half lebanese and half turkish. The lady tipping was from the turkish sie.To be honest, I was taken a back a bit because I wasn't expecting her to pt money in my pants. With all due respect, she meant it in the mot respectful way to show her appreciation but as a dancer, I'm used to ( if anything regarding tips) it being placed on my arm band. It's a tricky situation but as u say, it is an honour to receive the appreciation.. And I didn't hold any ill feelings towards it. I think cultures that have middle eastern dancers for x amount of years are just used to tipping the way they do.

Bellydanceshiva i could see you were taken by surprise when she did that 😅,traditions are always different everywhere,but the ideal situation would be that by the end of the performance they tip you..that way they wouldn't be interrupting the routine..you didn't lose It though 👍😉

it isn't an insult in the middle eastern society I think is expressing of admiration, that is all. The more money giving to a dancer, is a sign of respect believed or not. He is a great dancer.

You’re so very welcome.;)) it’s awesome hearing from a fellow male dancer. 100% there is a stigma with guys dancing. I think especially if you dance for middle eastern people as the majority audience, we as guys have to work 3 times as hard to just legitimatise our place on stage. But it’s the best feeling when those audiences, especially Egyptians react the way you do.. they see it for the art it is and feeling. That’s the greatest joy. What style of dance do you do Brother?

Woa this guy is amazing! I am literally speechless right now. So far I have only seen woman dacing the belly dance. But this guy has an amazing talent. He can move so great and I just love his outfit. My respect goes out to all people, let it be woman or men, who can dance the belly dance. I am currently trying to learn it, since I have heard it's good for back problems and to train your body but damn it's so freaking hard to learn! On video it looks so easy, but it's not. I can't even move my upper body seperately. And the hip shaking is super hard (okay I suffer from a scoliosis, that makes it even harder for me), but I won't give up trying.
