This band could’ve been absolutely massive and I’m mad that didn’t happen for them. When they put out that single in 2021 I was thinking “and they could still be massive!” I wish they were active at least but it doesn’t hardly pay and they’ve all got families to support so I get it.

Beloved opened at the first live show I ever went to. 2003 in Hollywood at the Troubadour. They opened for Armor for Sleep, Zao, and Further Seems Forever. I was mesmerized by their music and immediately went down and bought this album and I still listen to this day. Thank you so much for everything Beloved! You changed my life that day

This show made me very emotional watching this in its entirety this morning on youtube. I started crying during the first song because it just hit me so hard and brought me right back to when i was first introduced to your band. I had a friend who was into hardcore and metalcore was in its heyday at the time. His AOL AIM username was KissItGoodbye. I asked him what this was in reference to and he introduced me to Beloved. The Running is an incredible EP and of course I eventually found Failure On. Those were some of the very best times in my life and though I never got to see you guys live as you were no longer together when I was first introduced, I listened to Failure On over and over, daily, weekly, and to this day I go through periods where I just listen through The Running and Failure On in its entirety whilst driving in my car. Your band means so very much to me and spoke to me in a way that felt truly unparalleled in my youth. The melodic post hardcore beauty in all of your tracks is just astonishing. I still get chills listening. Love you boys. I hope one day you boys decide to go on one last US tour. I know life gets so busy and maybe I'll never get the chance to see you all play live here in Central, IL.....but this live show recording means alot to me. It is a window into some loving, cherished memories. Thank you for the art, guys.❤

I saw these guys play in a cramped basement in Statesville twice; I think two weeks in a row right around 2000ish. I'd not experienced a lot of live music at the time and was blown away. I was amazed how all the kids bought an album on the way out, the first week, and apparently WORE IT OUT till the next show where they screamed the words back as loud as the band. It was truly awesome. Mic stands held together with duct tape and all. Ears with a muffled ring all the way home... I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit saying you never felt like you were playing to 'Your Crowd'. After seeing you the first time, they were all 'Your Crowd'.

Grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and it was a HUGE DEAL when I could find your albums for sale at Best Buy. Thankfully, my family was a bit different and I understood that having a CD somewhere prominent vs actually finding financial independence in your album sales was absolute crap compared to what they were pulling in to the publishers. Still, never stopped me from trying to get to one of you or Underoath's shows. I remember seeing footage from a show of Beloved's in like 20p resolution and was SO EXCITED to hear the live, choppy, totally screwed up audio mix on that feed. I was hardly so happy to see another community's scene take off than yours.

So glad I found this. Full nostalgia for me. Random experience popped into my head from watching this but did sound for Advent at the now closed Red Door in Pensacola FL and started playing Cult of Luna from their Beyond album before the show started and Joe walks up super surprised that I was playin CoL. We talked about Post-metal for a second and at the time I had no clue he was the drummer for Beloved, one of my favorite bands growing up. Fun memory and I love Beloved and Advent. Can I have a new album from both bands please and thank you.

If Advent of the Miracle could be re-recorded for all of us that love that album above all else with Joe singing would be awesome!!!!! It's awesome to hear a good quality version of that. Secondly, I was there in 2004(was it 2004 at the first break-up show?) and nobody has ever told me what happened and I loosely knew everyone. When the K Word came down from Roanoke, VA everyone was super cool to us and we played at the church in Kernersville...I think it was a church? I fell off the edge of the world and only the military saved my butt and when I came back after that - everyone was grown and....distracted in a new way at least in Roanoke. I'm so sorry I didn't come down for this or Furnace Fest with my brother - but my back and being clean....it's weird to be at shows....I feel as nervous as being onstage and it's uncomfortable so I just stay home and hide int he comments...hope everyone is safe and happy

Very first time I saw Beloved, I loved them!! I was not in their expected Demographic at all!!! first of all being older and probably the ONLY adult bring teens to shows.. LOL.... I went to the Merch table, seems like they didn't have their CD out yet, but they had some cloth patches and I bought several which the kids snapped up quickly! Next show was in a much larger venue, but amazingly Johnny, the bass-player recognized me from our previous conversation and came over to visit... I thought it was Crazy but very meaningful to me. This is a great interview!!

A lot of these melodic hardcore bands were noisy and sloppy live but Beloved always kept it together and it always blew my mind that they didnt get bigger than they did. One of the goats.
