Dic Evans. A true Hero of the RNLI, and a Human Inspiration for the selfless volunteers that follow. I love this beautiful village and its history.

It may be too soon,but I wonder what changes will become mandatory after the Titan accident. We have definitely fallwd in love with Anglesey again after avoiding it for a few years.

@@CampervanTales I suspect it needs regulation in part to avoid any old person creating a submersible for commercial use …. It’s a tragedy and also costly in many different ways not just money

Love a lifeboat station ❤ and the old ones 👍. I suspect they've sold that one off. If not, they'd have to maintain it to open to the public, 'elf and safety 😉. Always support the RNLI, used to sail with my parents and brother in Cornwall, many years ago 😁
@CampervanTales Жыл бұрын
We like to support the RNLI too. I'm sure you are right about them selling the old boat house off .We guess it is used as storage now. We have really done any sailing apart from that trip on Cat Zero a few years ago. Sounds like you used to have fun with your 😀

Great video and a lot of information that we never knew about. We visited Moelfre and parked in the little car park, unfortunately it was full on busy so we didn’t get out but just had lunch in the van 😂 Never seen that road getting hit by waves like that 😮

That's a shame, another place that is a victim of its popularity in the better months. A lovely area. Hope you are both on the mend now. Have a good weekend.

Daryl wants every abandoned building turned into a coffee shop. Daryl there is more to life than coffee!! 😀 A hot drink of anything would have been welcomed that day I guess, it did look chilly there. I remember a Grand Designs when someone turned a lifeboat station into a residence, cost a fortune, wouldn't have to worry about neighbours. Very brave volunteers, some people are wonderful. 👏

It was a bit nippy on that trip. Still early March when this was made. Funnily enough I have started drinking more tea nowso need to start looking for places to turn I'm to tea rooms🤣

Thanks for telling us. It is really good to find a connection to Dick Evans. It makes it all the more worthwhile when we hear from people who have a connection to where we visit. Thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment..

Very nice little place, I love the views, but driving over that road with the waves coming over the walls, a bit scary indeed, yikes, nope for me lol. xx

What a beautiful area. And I love the deep commitment the lifeboat volunteers have to such a worthy cause. I'm not going to lie, as long as I was strapped in tight, I think feeling the lifeboat right itself would be a pretty crazy experience. Buuut I'm a bit of loon, if I'm being honest. Hope your week was good?! We are well. Yesterday was the first day in several weeks where it did not rain at all in the full 24 hour period. But we'll take the rain over fies and heavy smoke! Cheers!

Have to admit we like a thrill too. Having said that, the second part of the Q and A is out on Monday and we are going to have to film another little bit now for it now to put at the beginning of it after what happened on Sunday. Just so people don't think we are being disrespectful. We are in awe of the lifeboat crews who go out in all conditions. You two have a good weekend. We are off to Manchester today to see a string quartet play in the cathedral.

@@CampervanTales Enjoy Manchester and the string quartet. Sounds like a loverly weekend. We are just soggy wet over here. But it's better than having lots of smoke from fires. Cheers!

i would love to live in flat or house along that coast line it's so beautiful. Keith is taking a big chance walking down those steps with his hands stuffed in his pockets. If he falls he could injure his face and head badly.😮
@CampervanTales Жыл бұрын
We considered moving to Anglesey a few years ago, but neither of us could find jobs. I hadn't noticed Keith with his hands in his pockets. He got run over a few weeks ago but luckily having his hands out helped when he fell to the ground.
@georgeherman8826 Жыл бұрын
@@CampervanTalesstarting at ( 24:21) in the video you will see Keith walking down those stone steps with his hands stuffed in his pockets. As we get older falling injuries can become more prevalent and recovery from injuries takes longer. Injuries to the head and hip are especially dangerous.
