Der Kobold I'm trying to learn German and I can't understand jack really but do the southerners seem to slur their words more and throw in sounds that aren't really there in the written word? The way I'm being taught is to sound it out as written. But I hang out with my mate in the south west and for example instead of haus - sounds like house - he says hoiz, or something like that.

This is one of my favs on "walpurgis rtes", actually. The alert horn in the chorus is simply annoying, but this riffing combined with helmut's harsh german lyrics made this song one of the best imo. i'm german, btw...

@tennesee3 Extreme Metal doesn't use conventional singing. They growl, scream grunt and roar. The song sounds muffled because of the plam muting of the guitars which gives the notes a different sound. For those not used to it, it probably does sound strange but to us this is great music! As for the video, I cannot explain but the special effects department may have messed up...
