Belstaff Mcgregor Pro jacket review from the Belstaff Long Way Up Collection

The Belstaff McGregor Pro jacket, as designed and worn by Ewan McGregor for the Long Way Up TV series is one of the stand out items in the new Belstaff Collection, available from Urban Rider:

Ewan opted for a more traditional look in the design of the jacket, drawing from classic Belstaff Trialmaster styling, using Halley Stevenson 12oz wax cotton for the outer with a seam sealed waterproof and breathable membrane underneath. The jacket incorporates the McGregor clan tartan for the lining.
This jacket has proven itself in the most extreme riding conditions possible, all the while looking damn good too.

Hi George, you can use Belstaff Wax to re-proof the jacket: www.urbanrider.co.uk/belstaff-re-proofing-wax-dressing-one-tin.html . when it comes to cleaning you should simply use a wet cloth on the outside. Hope this helps - Iza

The first thing that I noticed about the jacket was that the left breast pocket is at an angle (but not the right one). Any idea why?

I think those started out as quick access pockets for your map!

It's always been the design of these Belstaff jackets since the 1940s. It's for an easier angle of access.

It's black but is covered in dust and dirt in the series!

Hi Yassin - Belstaff is great quality. I wouldn't recommend the Westlake for riding a motorbike though, it's a fashion item

The waterproof membrane is breathable, but it's better for colder weather rather than the heat
