EDIT: There is a goof in this video. The pulley above the alternator needs to be a grooved pulley. The smooth pulley is shown and discussed in the wrong position. I glitched for a bit.

I have always operated the tensioner from under the van and put the belt around the alternator last from underneath. I didn't need a Long breaker bar to move the tensioner. Being able to do from the top is more convenient. Thanks for the tutorial. Replacing the tensioner is a regular maintenance item also. It too is simple. I went through 3 on my 440K mile 06 118 inch.

I've gotten away from the music although I think it adds a LOT to the enjoyment of every video. We started having new trouble with old videos and copyright claims. I hope we get back to using more music soon. Thank you for this input. It confirms my belief the videos without music are just missing something.

Love your videos we have a t1n that the locking system will lock then unlock the front doors and the factory key fob doesn’t work correct. Do you have any videos on trouble shooting doors not locking correctly?

No videos on that yet. The van is unlocking because one door is not reporting back to confirm it is locked. Most common fix is sandpaper cleaning the brass pins and pads at the door jams. Sometimes we can determine which door by locking, let them unlock automatically then immediately lock them again. They should stay locked and if one door is not, that will be your huckleberry.

Lubricating the door mechanisms helps but sometimes the actuator motors are just old and too weak to flip the locks.

Yes, but the pulleys are positioned slightly different but generally the same place. The belt path follows the same route across each pulley.

Just got all new belt and pulleys, so how long should I be good for before having to worry about belt issues?

Try not to worry* but always be prepared. If we try too hard on preventative maintenance we seem to find bigger troubles on the road. Belt, pulleys and hoses should last several years, until we forget just how old they are.

I have a 2005 sprinter that originally came with manual windows, I have doors that have power windows, is there a way to make them work

Yes, but it is not simple. You will need to run wires to the door jams providing power and ground then splice into the door wires.
