The thing with Ben 10K is that one of his major appearances boils down to, "Oh no, the universe will be destroyed by this time thing. Younger, weaker, less experienced me, you fix it." And then he proceeds to do very little noticable things. Ben 10,000 felt like a stronger version of Classic Ben. Ben 10k somehow feels weaker than Omniverse Ben.

Thats because Omniverse Ben (Prime Ben) is the strongest Ben. Ben 10k is stronger than Ben 10,000 but they're both weaker than Prime Ben because of him having the complete Omnitrix with the modification that allows the failsafes to work beyond time and space.

I would say Ben 23 is an A. He has a cool backstory, with him learning how to use the Omnitrix after Max died, and he basically became a superhero that streamed on Twitch. The blue color palette on his aliens looks really cool and the crappy names he gives them are pretty funny. And he does go through some character growth. Not to mention there was a bunch of crew statements about the differences between his universe and Ben Prime’s.

@@Juli_is_Online Honestly, the thing that bugs me most about that episode is how goofy it is, and how if taken seriously it raises several questions about the Ben 10 world. The Anur System is something Ben and co. had to dedicate a specific set of days to travel to, or at least one whole day. The Null Void is supposed to be something that's difficult to get in and out of, being a pocket-dimension prison and all. And yet, some random alien TV host has the power to transport to such locations across the galaxy instantly? And at that, he can just pluck people from all across the universe with complete accuracy, even when it's something as broad as "every significant female Ben has ever interacted with"? Why does only this alien have this technology?

Watching the breakdowns and now this has made me realize how many cool characters that they only used for two episodes or so. Tetrax, Gluto, Myaxx and Xylene. Also side note: I really hate how they changed Myaxx's designs in UAF & OV, in SotO her design wasn't overly feminine, but then every subsequent design got worse.

I think Ben should have been S tier just due to the fact that he he has admitted that Gwen is better than him as shown in classic where Ben ended up in a timeline where Gwen got the Omnitrix and his relationship with Kevin and keep in mind the he was also one of the main reasons why Kevin became a good guy in the first place and helped him with his character arc and while Omniverse Ben is goofy he has shown to be serious in dark situaitons

In hindsight, Kai would've made a good permanent addition to Ben and Rook's dynamic as a third team member after London. It would've given plenty of space to expand her relationship with Ben, even just the two of them developing a more solid friendship, and it could open an entirely new can of worms of "which is the stronger Team Tennyson?" The correct answer is UAF Team Tennyson. Kai and Rook have their advantages, but neither of them can ignite a supernova after a bad day like Gwen.

On the Charm caster and age thing, I always did find it weird how she was clearly much older then Ben and Gwen in classic, but UAF onward treats them as the same age. Her and Gwen even get to be bff's for a short bit. I dunno, maybe she magically stopped her aging, or her race stays in their teens for longer. For the frog princess, we don't know how her people mature, so it's reasonable she could've hit puberty in-between UAF and Omni

I think Charmcaster was supposed to be 14/15 in OG and 19/20 at the start of UAF which is why she looks around the same age. Because you grow so much between 10 and 14/15 but not quite as much from 15-19 in physical appearance, it’s more mental growth.

I think when it came to Attea they just wanted to repurpose her character and make her around Ben's age to make it make more sense. They just wrote around it by saying Incursions mature faster than humans (I don't know if this applies to real-life frogs though). Omniverse repurposed a few characters (e.g. Magister Patelliday, Mr. Baumann), and being honest, I'm kind of fine with it since I legitimately didn't even know these characters showed up pre-Omniverse because they got barely any screen time and/or were otherwise just forgettable. As for the alien ages thing, I think at best they just design the aliens to look around a general age range rather than anything specific. No one really remarks that 10-year-old Ben's aliens are children, nor do they make mention of 15/16-year-old Ben's aliens being teenagers, at least not much. There are differences between them, but they aren't as stark as say, a kid versus a teen versus an adult in real life. I think they just design the aliens to look appealing, and use them as a benchmark to make other members of a given aliens' species. So I just chalk up things like Tini hitting on Four Arms to be different aliens maturing at different rates for an in-universe explanation. As for the Charmcaster thing, I never really thought about it, but it should be noted that she probably is emotionally stunted due to her upbringing and conflicts with the Tennyson family. I could totally see her just being irrational for her age, especially when she got a bit crazier in Omniverse. Heck, her relationship with Gwen paints her as a vindictive, somewhat petty person, which makes sense when we put her character in this context. When Gwen stole her spell book she made no effort to get it back, instead taunting Gwen about being incompetent with magic. And when she stole Gwen's powers she went back because she was Gwen had a little power left (which was a lie), despite her not even needing Gwen's power in the first place.

Thinking about the Charmcaster kissing Kevin thing, it just reminded me that Michael Morningstar/Darkstar dated Gwen and Charmcaster, despite Gwen being 15/16 and Charmcaster being around 19/20. Then there's Jennifer Nocturne having a faux relationship with Ben (who was 16 at the time), and trying to run off with Carl Nesmith/Captain Nemesis/Overlord, despite Nesmith clearly being a grown adult in presumably in his mid 30s at the earliest. Charmcaster can be ignored since that was just a trick anyway, and she was disguised as a different person at the time (not saying it's not creepy, but she wasn't trying to form an actual relationship). Noctune and Nesmith can be ignored too since it wasn't meant to be a healthy relationship, as it was born from Stockholm syndrome. As for Morningstar, you could place him around 17/18 years old to try and rationalize it, and neither relationship was really genuine to begin with (he just wanted to drain Gwen like the other girls, and he just wanted to feed off the power of Charmcaster's realm). So while there are some weird ages going on here, if they're made to be wrong in the first place I'm not really bothered by it, though I admit I didn't think about the ages much when I first consumed this material. I never thought about it as a kid, but I do get what Kuro and Ash mean when they say that the characters are whatever age they need to be.

I think you just summed up what I thought of the Ink Tank too. Thanks to them I realized that Ben 10 was much, much cooler then what I thought when I was younger. For those who wished Julie would’ve been more prominent in the show, I highly recommend the fanfic “Ben 10 Guardians” by Shadow_DJ. It is a retelling of Omniverse with the tone of the UAF era. One of the most notable changes in this remake is Ben and Julie remaining a couple. There is also the fact that Julie has been promoted to main character with Ship by her side to use various suit modes in battle. Aside from the fact that Ben and Julie remain together in this continuity, the fanfic still follows the main arcs in the canon show with some changes and original episodes in between. Please, I highly recommend reading this fanfic. Besides BenxJulie still being a thing, this fanfic expands on the show’s lore as well as reutilizing almost every character from across the franchise. I think the original series only made Kai Ben's wife because she was the only love interest he really had in the original series. Well, I guess Tiny exists, but that makes even less sense, and raises questions about the age gap. I recall Julie and Ben arguing a lot, so I'm not surprised they broke up, but I don't like how they did it so flippantly and treated it like a gag. It doesn't help that Kai was M.I.A. for two whole series, and never liked Ben in that way to begin with (she wasn't even much of a friend if we're being honest), so her romantic relationship with Ben didn't feel super authentic.

In September 2021, a fan asked someone at Man of Action about a spinoff for Gwen during her college years, and the response was that they were working with a Japanese anime studio to make one, citing Gwen's popularity in Asia as one of the reasons. I like Sunny. I don't know if it's the episode as much as the idea itself. I feel like Sunny is Gwen's Ben 23. She's Gwen if she grew up without any good role models. And there's almost like a temptation angle there. Sunny disobeys her parents constantly, has no regard for other people's feelings, is great at whatever she does without trying, and just wants to have fun, and enable her bad boy boyfriend. Compare that to Gwen. She has to do superhero work, organize stuff, study, train martial arts, obey her strict parents, keep in touch with friends who are angry at her for not spending enough time with them, rein in Kevin's worst impulses. And as we see in It's Tough Being Gwen, that eats away at her. There are days when she hates that life. I am sure Gwen fights with an urge to just.... wreck shit up, start disobeying and just let lose.

I wish you gave Mad Ben a B at least. Vilgax and Maltruant were his Grandpa Max. His for respect them is so high, that even after Maltruant left they kept digging, because he didn’t tell him to stop. His temper even shows if anyone bad mouths the two. I feel like he also has more experience using his transformation, rather than hit watch has this power. I saw this when he used Diamondhead, stretching his arms and containing the two Ben’s by erupting crystals from the ground, a power that Ben forgets sometimes. I ain’t counting Ben’s lifting crystals in the air feet during the Vilgax fight, all of his powers in that fight was literally retconned into a glitch, and that was how he won. Like, did Diamondhead win that fight vs Bilgax because Diamondhead got stronger and Ben got more experienced or because of just plot. And Mad Ben’s choices of aliens really highlight his personalities and attitude.
