In my opinion the problem isn’t that Ben lost I believe the biggest issue is how he lost, how Death Battle explained it, how they poorly treated Alien X, and how so many people just agree with it and continue to flush out things that Ben doesn’t have, and neither does Hal yet compares him still to other Green Lanterns

Actually the QNA didn’t really explain it any better. Such as the Sotobro Effect, they say it’s not applicable to Alien X when that isn’t true Cause remember Professor Paradox was the one who brought it up and said that Eon could sense it, who is an alternate version of Ben, and the Ben 10,000 (who is just future Ben Prime) explained what the Sotobro Effect was Then they also claim that No Watch Ben doesn’t know what the Sotobro Effect is or has ever shown any indication of time travel, but that’s not a problem cause when No Watch Ben turned into Clockwork he said this “Once I transformed I could see the, Sotobro Effect, just thought I’d suck the ripple back in” They also claim that Batman removing Hal’s ring was because he was inexperienced but then uses a scene of Vilgax attempting to remove the Omnitrix from an inexperienced Ben, in fact the first series which is the farthest you can get from his potential They also say that the Omnitrix has no way to defend against limb removal, because Vilgax TRIED to cut off Ben’s arm. But Vilgax doesn’t even get the chance cause he’s interrupted by Grandpa Max Also the whole, Hal was inexperienced, isn’t a good defense because Hal can still get caught off guard and have his ring taken from him. Plus it doesn’t matter about experience it works on concentration like Batman said Hal: “How did you do that?” Batman: “You weren’t concentrating” Heck the biggest problem is that they combined Pre Crisis Hal Jordon (Who can time travel but is weak to yellow) and Post Crisis Hal Jordon (Who isn’t weak to yellow but hasn’t shown the ability of time travel) You can’t do that otherwise we’d have to give Ben the Omnitrix and Ultimatrix or Skurd at that Before anyone wants to say that Skurd is outside help well so is Lila and Bruce when it came to Batman Beyond Vs. Time trapper is a being composed of time and rules it To the point of creating alternative realities with just one single moment of time. Hal getting his ring removed is different from Ben getting his omnitrix removed . The ring is powered by a persons thought as well as will Hal Jordan’s mindset at the time Batman removed his ring which was during the new 52 reboot he was still learning. With Ben it’s fail safe itself that proctects the watch from forced removal of its wearer. Screw attack used post crisis Hal Jordan and only mention a handful of pre crisis feats which again don’t matter since futures end and convergence not only acknowledge pre crisis events it flat out merged the pre crisis characters with their post crisis selves which ends up leading to rebirth..

And has repeatedly shrugged of mid-combat reality warping. Alien x is also shown to USE dragonball style fighting in his only fight with an equal opponent. And hal is shown to be FASTER than alien x. so even if they both travel in time, hal would get there first. given ben's future self explicitly said if his past is broken, he's done for, that's lights out for alien x.

And as hal has not only matched the entire corps in will but has both been said and proven to be their superior, he can do everything they can but better. that's like saying i have to prove each individal echo echo has sound powers. plus, ben's ace in this fight is a power he never used that we gave him because others of the species have. it's lopsided not to mention there is no version of hal that cannot time travel. he lost that weakness shortly after the crisis when he removed the yellow impurity, but he still time travelled plenty of times after, and even lanterns who joined AFTER he removed the weakness are still capable of it. even by accident. hal has time travelled, under his own power, in every single era of dc. They also did not mix versions of hal. hal survived the crisis unchanged and had storylines about, well, being one of the last living members of the old universe while all his friends were replaced with identical duplicates. every version of hal they used is confirmed to be the same hal. This is why so many dc fans are frustrated by this fight, because the version of hal critics demand does not exist.

I have seen some people say that X character can “blitz” Ben, or that character Y is faster than the Omnitrix’s failsafe, but these claims are false; allow me to elaborate. In the series finale of Omniverse, ‘A New Dawn’, the time traveling character known as Maltruant, uses a Time-Beast to travel to the moment before the Big Bang and the creation of the Universe; as stated by Professor, he cannot follow him there, as he is going back to a point where ‘time’ wasn’t created yet. This is further confirmed by Maltruant himself, for when he reaches the Contumelia’s ship before the creation of time and the universe, he is unable to uses his time manipulating powers, as time has not begun yet; but once the Annihilargh goes off, the Omnitrix is able to react to it, despite currently existing in a void where time hasn’t started yet, proving that the Omnitrix’s failsafe operates regardless of time and when it can react in a void before the creation of time, that means that it’s reaction time is instantaneous, in other words, zero seconds; meaning that the Omnitirx’s reaction speed is infinite. And unless an opponent can move at infinite speed, the Omnitrix is still fast enough to react to them and transform Ben if he cannot react in time. The idea that a computer based on changing DNA could even react to a higher-dimensional willbased construct that allows it’s user to do literally ‘anything’, up to and including harming the literal editors of the story (the Monitors) is ridiculous. Hal blasts the Omnitrix with Anti-Matter at speeds that could cross the entire universe in a heartbeat before even a circuit in the Omnitrix could change one of Ben’s genomes and the battles over. The Omnitrix can’t even react to the Chronosapien Timebomb as seen when an infinite amount of Ben’s (excluding No-Watch Ben) were going to be completely erased by a Multiversal+ event which was once replicated back when the Time Trapper used the Green Lantern Corp’s residual energy to erase all infinite timelines except the one where the legion of superheroes didn’t exist. Same exact plot, and Hal one-shot the concept that powers all the lantern rings including that residual energy, and even killed every lantern corp member by himself on his way to Oa in Emerald Twilight. Hal being erased doesn’t matter since he survived crisis on infinite earths, as well as his entire identity, body, and soul being almost erased into the comic panel when he entered the green lantern power battery in Willworlds after his memory was erased and he just willpowered out of it and was fine. In this same storyline Hal created his own universe and it was revealed that literally every other Green Lantern did too and simply put their universes into the power battery, which makes it even more impressive since Hal has been said to be even more powerful than the power battery by Volthoom, the original lantern. Higher dimensional cosmology doesn’t matter either, since even if Alien X is 26d (which doesn’t make sense) Hal can be argued to be infinite dimensional or above dimensions all together since he survived crisis on infinite earths which wiped out a multiverse with infinite dimensions, as well as him being able to one-shot concepts and editors of the story with them winning literally printed onto a book that contained all of creation and every narrative that existed in DC comics. Deus Ex Machina in DC comics literally has a name, ‘the miracle machine.’ This miracle machine was able to reset the entire Multiverse after True Form Darkseid (the guy who BTFO the infinity gauntlet in death battle) fell on the entire Multiverse and was pulling it into a conceptual black hole. The Miracle Machine was able to recreate all the new gods (conceptual beings above all dimensionality and physics) and the same element that powered the miracle machine (element x) was even able to defeat barbatos, the guy originally meant to guard and consume the dark multiverse which had literally infinite versions of crises that individually effected entire infinite dimensional multiverses, so the dark multiverse was literally infinite infinite-dimensional multiverses. And element x, which made up the miracle machine, was able to defeat the guy who had power over that entire structure. The same guy who wrote Final Crisis (Grant Morrison) had Hal Jordan and his ring form 2/5ths of the pieces in order to power the miracle machine, meaning that Hal could have a large chunk of power even exceeding infinite multiverses with infinite dimensional hierarchies and their own versions of concepts and lantern corps. I just paused the video after Edgeworth said Green Lantern could make a barrier. That barrier doesn't do shit against Toepick, an alien whose entire species has faces so ugly and horrifying, that not even they can stand to look at each other. The only protection from the horror is to be blind, not even emotionless beings like robots are safe from it, as they will immediately try to defend themselves as if they are under attack, even if the only "danger" is the hideous face of the creature before them. this is a very flawed argument. one, hal's willpower is established to resist mind control. the argument that ben's aliens can take away his willpower depends on ben's powers taking precedent over ANY resistance. If we could compare ben's mind control to the many, MANY beings who's mind control he's overcome we'd have a case, but ben doesn't have a single alien comparable to, say, the old timer. or nekron. or hector hammond. Two, upgrade has limits to what technology he can control. He doesn't do well with self aware technology. like the ring. Or extradimensional technology, like when he was sucked into a videogame world. or the ring. Or particularly difficult secrutity systems. like the plumber base. or the ring. And would have a particularly hard time given that the ring has SPECIFIC functions to fight of nanites, which upgrade is composed of. thrid that's... not what happened in single handed. the ominitrix DIDN'T prevent ben's hand from being cut off. they even outright say in the episode that the only reason it wound up in that parralel dimension is because of a glitch from the axe, and that the axe was the thing which sent it to another dimension: " Kevin Levin: Simple, all we have to do is reverse the polarity of the thing that displaced it in the first place. Ben Tennyson: The axe? Kevin Levin: I said it was simple, not easy." Since the ring can REPAIR bodies split across dimensions, this is useless as a defence. Fourth, name ONE alien ben has that would survive his soul being torn out (which is shown to kill ben). Or being crushed to an atom. or every atom in his body being split, or green lantern erasing him from existence. And that's not what actually happened in 'a new dawn'. the omnitrix glitched out from over exposure to energy, like it does EVERY time it's caught in a high energy pulse. Skurd, who actually understands how the omnitrix works enough to directly work the interior, pointed out ben's claim was pure recklessness. WE also know his claim the omnitrix 'always gives him the alien he needs', whampire in the middle of the desert, for example. And brainstorm to fight aggregor. This is a fan theory that the fans gave to the creators back in ultimate alien, and they were baffled by it then. it's not an actual confirmed feature, just the speculation of a guy who doesn't understand how the omnitrix works and has been repeatedly scolded for it. Fifth, what if hal just uses code ten-twelve and vaporises all alien technology, leaving ben with no omnitrix? Or stops time, which is shown to work on ben in a new dawn? or shuts down his entire nervous system? or immunizes him to alien dna. or uses an emp to shut down the omnitrix. plus we've seen time travellers actually get the drop of alien x onscreen. Basically, you're giving ben unlimited benefit of the doubt, without actually checking if hal's run into ANY of these hazards before. which he has.Also .. extend hal's abilities? they toned him DOWN. he's made multiple universes (it was even part of his basic training), changed the planc length, and even de-crisised people. heck, he fought parralax, the guy who remade the pre crisis multiverse (and later permantently de-crisised it), to a standstill. he's survived MULTIPLE universes being erased and a sea of pure anti-existence.

wow this is bad but hey let me tell you why just for giggles. Argument 1: Ben multiple mind controling alien Counter: Hal as fought against the tops strongest mind readers and manipulator and with sheer will has been able to bypass it. Has well being stated to be unaffected by fear has he outclass the LIVING FEAR entity. So it wont work Hal Willpower feats bypass that argument. Argument 2: upgrade being able to get into the ring. Counter: Hal ring is made out of his own soul. and regular rings are not technology but crystalize will power with a semi sentient programing added into it. Also he far too fast for upgrade to touch him. so your argument fall apart. Argument 3: The failsafe. Counter: It took multiple days for the auto explosion to reach universal busting capability has well has Hal surviving the erasure if multiple universe .Oh and also the failsafe is not fast enough just to hummer you Hal creation are FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR BEYOND lightspeed. so again Hal is faster then the failsafe. Argument 4: all of the other crap Counter: Hal is simply far stronger far faster and HAX are far beyond anything ben fought or showcase note Ben die when a timeline got destroy. Hal survive multiple one getting erase and created it all from scratch because he could. Oh and he stated to be above parralax hal jordan witch is Spector level witch is far higher then ben ever could dream to fight.

But here's the thing. Ben's omnitrix will turn Ben into a body he will need to survive. If Ben were to die even as Alien X, it would be forced to turn him into something stronger as it has been stated that Alien X isn't the strongest
