As someone who’s read some green lantern comics and watched Ben 10. To my knowledge the user of the ring has to be consciously thinking about the constructs they create, while the omnitrix can switch Ben instantaneously, so Hal is limited by his imagination and own brain since he’s competing with an AI and literally 1 million + aliens.

But the power ring is also aware and has even acted on its own without Hal being aware of danger. Also it was important that they addressed Hal (without his powers) being able to fly a space shit around light speed, because the brain still has to be able to process information within that time. And that's before factoring in the fastest speeds.

@@anthonycole2753 I may be wrong about this too but I think that the ring’s AI is not as advanced as the omnitrix as I’m pretty sure the ring is only meant to protect the user from danger, not necessarily create constructs for the user or any specific action. while the omnitrix has to cycle through aliens to pick the best choice for Ben, even if Ben isn’t in danger hence the gag why he gets wrong aliens. (I think that ring’s AI was purposely meant to be not as intelligent since the previous AIs - the man hunters rebelled against the guardians because they got too advanced.)

@@blueblood1.0 There was a time where Hal was being ambushed with a Starro to the back of his neck and the detected the ambush and constructed a shield behind Hal to stop the Starro. I'm not so sure about the AI thing since the ring has a database within it, though it isn't always consistent (as such with DC).

Wasn’t aware that happened tho that basically ties into another point by Ink tank In a separate vid, where Hal isn’t treated as any specific version but as an amalgamation of all his incarnations, while Ben didn’t get to use any of his alternate furure’s special abilities and also how they pointed out weaknesses that only Ben in the original series had but had outgrown in future series’s.

10:29 Basically, Chromastone can resist, absorb, and refract energy off of himself like a prism. Like shooting light through a prison causes it to split off through the back. Chromastone can deflect energy, like electricity, magic, or light, off his body or absorb it and shoot his own lasers. Feedback can use his wires to intake energy and convert it into electricity to shoot out or just fire back in general as a laser or its original form. He’s also the one the Omnitrix forced Ben to turn into the catch the Big Bang

it probably wasn't intentional, but given the rules that the writers of Ben 10 themselves put in place, Ben Tennyson is basically unkillable. omnitrix failsafe to prevent him dying plus Alien X alone makes him indestructable. would he be strong enough to kill Hal Jordan? idk. but Hal can't kill Ben. and especially not with a pair of goddamn scissors.

I’m well aware that Green-Lantern is also stupidly OP, and has likely fought and beaten several universe-level or even multiverse-level characters without temporary power-ups, so I wouldn’t rule it out COMPLETELY that he could beat Ben and even Alien-X, but I definitely agree that a LOT of DB’s reasoning, and the way they had him die in the animation, didn’t make since, and if Hal WERE to beat Alien-X there’s no way it would happen like that. I would’ve minded it less if they had given it a more believable conclusion.

One of their 4 rules is that in-canon material and material that supports in-canon feats like cartoon adaptations, are fair game. Kuro didn’t understand how DC continuity worked, so he assumed Hal was a composite.

They worded it as if Ben still had the time-out function or was locked in a transformation for a certain amount of time, which is wrong.

Hal having the powers of his fellow lanterns unless specified otherwise (so long as he has enough will) is how his powers work in dc, and he explicitly survived the crisis events unchanged, meaning he is still the same hal through multiple universes. Among other things yes, he still can and has time travelled, including transporting the entire lanter corps to the universe before his own. Plus hal himself has not only been directly compared to the central battery in terms of power but can access it at any time he likes. A major security flaw, but one that's part of the story. Kuro brings up a bunch of additional powers ben has, but hal has a counter or established immunity to pretty much all of them. Its.... a bit of a long story. Theres a LOT of details in this fight

As a massive, MASSIVE Ben 10 fan and someone who thinks Green Lantern is pretty lame, here's two articles that debunk almost everything you just watched and his other videos. I sadly can't post them in the comments of You tube, but you can look at for them on Deviant Art, if anyone is interested in hearing another side. "VS Talk: Redundantly Debunking Multiverse+ Alien X" "Ben Tennyson VS Hal Jordan - A Redundant Analysis" They go over how Alien X isn't really multiversal, the misconception that Hal was "composited", how the Sotobro Effect and the Failsafe works, how aliens like Toepick, Upgrade, The Worst, Ghostfreak, Big Chill, Clockwork, Chromastone, Feedback, Upchuck, and more aren't as impactful as they seem on the surface. They even use Ink Tank's videos as references. Hal even survived the Crisis on Infinite Earths, as did almost every other Green Lantern. He has very distinct memories of it. People believe Hal's feats from Pre-Crisis were unfairly pulled from, but those are, indeed, the exact same Hal Jordan. Even the failsafe isn't enough, as not only has he died/almost died from many different things before, it's also been ridiculously inconsistent, turning him into the worst possible alien for the situation, like when it turned him into Grey Matter, Nanomech, and Jerry Rig to stop a speeding train from falling off a broken track or when it turned him into Wampire to fight an monster.........in the middle of the freaking desert. And even then, it's doesn't know what a Green Lantern is, so it would have a difficult time countering everything Hal has, even if it did immediately go to Alien X. And Hal is able to just by pass it anyway. I love Ben 10. I could tell you every alien in the series, what they do, how they work, and when they showed up. And as pathetic as it sounds, for the longest time I always dreamt that the Omnitrix would fall from the sky near my house and I would be the one to wield it. But even then, I sadly have to admit that Ben simply can't win this fight. Everything he has, Hal has gone up against before. Even universe/multiversal destroyers and reality warpers like Lar Fleeze, Captain Atom, and the Anti-Moniter. Even Alien X is just another Tuesday for Hal. I understand and can agree a bit if you think Death Battle didn't do the best job at explaining why Hal won and it's okay to think they are wrong and whoever is right, but the sheer toxic and negative behavior from the people in the comments of this battle has honestly put a touch of a permanent sour spot on the entire Ben 10 franchise for me, as silly as that may sound.

He lost to Captain Atom, who was holding back. He couldn't beat the anti-monitor (at full power) alone. Hal had an amp to fight Lar Fleeze and it wasn't enough to significantly kill him. Surviving the Crises doesn't make them even remotely universal or Multiversal. All of the Post-Crises characters were the same as the pre-crisis counterparts, but special crimcuatances allowed them to remember the previous multiverse. That's happened to several characters, including powerless human ones. This later got retconned, unretconned, and changed. By the time this video came out, Convergence was a thing as awll as Rebirth so no, the feat is debunked by overall canon. Parallax Barry wasn't that much stronger than regular Barry. Being possessed by Parallax doesn't instantly make you OP, it takes time. The chronosapien time bomb was wiping out millions of universes at once and would've destroyed in Multiverse-except the singular universe, it was activated in. Atomic X isn't as powerful as Alien X, but I don't blame him for losing to a Multiversal time bomb. Also, it's confirmed that the Green Lantern's powers diminished in the new post-crisis universe meaning that the nature of the universe/multiverse can effect their powers🙄. The fee times he time traveled, when put in context, showed that it was easier to go to the future than the past and it requires a decently charged ring. Seriously, in context, most of Hal's feets don't hold up. One of Ben's aliens literally reversed the chronosapien time bomb, and it's confirmed weaker than Alien X in terms of time manipulation.

And yes he's the same guy pte and post crisis, we even see lanterns CURING people of being erased by the crisis, and he's even overpowered his pre crisis self. Also no, his powers haven't diminished and he's travelled back in time plenty of times just fine. Everything you said is headcanon and disproved

And the green lantern even CURED crisis erasure and outright said "our rings protected us from the reality shift". Do you mean "time travel became harder?" That's because the nature of time changed. All time travellers suffered, ironically lanterns had LESS trouble than most time travellers

Pretty much anyone who was still alive in that weird time dimension by the end of everything remembered. And of course, the Green Lanterns. Though I might be misremembering some things though. Eventually, several characters just started remembering aspects of it on their own. This is seen in various Superman comics, flash comics, even animal man and several characters related to him (his comics are also how the Psycho Pirate reveal happened). So again, it's not as cut and dry as you claim it to be.

Albedo worked for the creator of the Omnitrix and he Has his Own Omnitrix , but he's trapped in the body of a Human, and since His Omnitrix is synchronized with Ben's Omnitrix , he's become a genetic duplicate of Ben , only with white hair and red clothing instead of green.

there were plenty of previous Death Battles that I have disagreed with the results of but even the ones that I knew were wrong I could at least see some reasoning in how someone might come to a different conclusion, Ben 10 Vs Green Lantern was the one that I really couldn't find an excuse for, even within their own video they mention multiple reasons why Ben wins yet somehow they made GL win off of reasons that don't make sense. If your main point for victory is that they can travel back in time at least don't make them be fighting someone who can do it too

The Sotoboro Effect doesn't sense time travel, Ben's future self tells Ben that it its the ripple caused by Chronosapiens using their powers and that's what they're able to feel for. Not any random anomaly regarding time travel or time manipulation.

Does the Omnitrix GENUINELY protect Ben, or is that more of a by product? Outside of once with Sunder with the RECALIBRATED Omnitrix, it does at least seem like the fail-safes activated whenever the Omnitrix was directly targeted, or it was a more AOE effect instead. Ben is more of a melee type in comparison to Alien X, and the best he did with Alien X with HIMSELF IN CONTROL was the black hole. In other words, Ben has a distinct LACK of experience with Alien X's powers which, when combined with a lack of knowing Green Lantern's powers and weaknesses, were what did him in. If even ONE of those was different, then Ben would win.

A lot of it comes down to interpretation I think, and what things you choose to accept as canon. Both DC and Ben10 are constantly retconning and rebooting themselves, so when doing these kinds of things, it’s almost impossible NOT to composite the characters, and to cherry-pick different feats and abilities and continuities, y’know? I personally think it’s well within reason to power-scale AlienX as Outerverse-level, since the Celestialsapiens originate from outside the multiverse, much like the Beyonders from Marvel. But again, it depends on interpretation. But yeah, you should DEFINITELY react to more InkTank!!! Even if you disagree with them regarding the DeathBattle, (which is fine because human-beings have rights and should be allowed to have opinions) you’d still be able to enjoy the rest of their work. The InkTank make some of the BEST fan-made content of ALL TIME!!! I suggest you start with the video “What Ruined Ben10?”, where Kuro explains his passion for Ben10, and the purpose of his awesome webcomic, titled 5 Years Later! The reason I thought he might be a composite was that they said he can apparently time-travel and control-minds and stuff, and I've never, ever, EVER seen or heard of any Green-Lanterns doing that on their own, especially because, in the Justice-League comics and cartoons, they always relied on The Flash and Martian-Manhunter for that stuff. Which seemed appropriate, that way each Leaguer has a specialty and isn't completely redundant, ya know? Ben has literally died on-screen to the chronosapien time bomb, a multiversal weapon that Hal is easily comparable to, which would mean none of his aliens were capable of surviving it, hence why the failsafe didn't activate. Claiming Ben can't die is not only a no limits fallacy, but one that is literally disproved in the show, and that was WITH the omnitrix that has the failsafe. It does not make Ben invincible. I really don't know why people hinge so much on the failsafe as a major factor. It has the worst track record of any ability I've ever seen in fiction. Ben has been in danger many times and it literally only saved him once, and that was during the series finale. It's simply too inconsistent to base a victory around due to how unreliable it is. But even giving Ben the benefit of the doubt, it still won't help him. Hal is faster, and none of Ben's aliens are capable of surviving his attacks.

Hello again! To clarify the big problem with his videos, Hal's not a composite. They actually did storyline about adjusting to life in a new universe where all your friends and family have been erased, and we even see a lantern cure someone who's body was erased by the crisis. Also, ironically, hal keeps getting upgrades too,much like he claims ben does, and nothing he outlines in this video would actually work. Plus the omnitrix isn't immune to everything, and plenty of tricks work on it in the final version

Yeah, I was very skeptical about that Upgrade idea, because I wasn't sure what defenses the Ring might have, but I do think that, if DB had allowed Ben to use FeedBack or ChromaStone, it would have definitely given Ben more of a fighting chance, since energy-attacks and constructs are completely useless against them and only make them stronger, which neutralizes like, 80% of Hal's abilities. Plus the way they nerfed AlienX and had Ben lose to time-traveling scissors? Yeah, NO, even if Hal CAN defeat Ben and AlienX, there's just NO WAY it would happen like that. Still, I agree that some of those ideas he had for how Ben could defeat Hal were reaching. "Plus the Omnitrix isn't immune to everything, and plenty of tricks work on it in the final version..." Well, yes and no. In Omniverse, the Official Omnitrix seems to still be capable of being damaged or giving Ben the wrong alien. (there are 2 different prevailing theories as to why this is the case, one being user-error on Ben's part, because he slams the Omnitrix dial down too hard, the other being that the Omnitrix's AI will, in Ben's own words, "Always gives me the right alien, even when I want someone else..." There's yet another video where they explore that issue and try to make sense out of it.) However, once Master-Control is activated, all those glitches and drawbacks completely vanish, so depending on whether you're willing to give Ben Master-Control, those Glitches and vulnerabilities that the Omnitrix had are kind of a non-problem. But yeah, those were still some good points you made. :)

I'm not sure how you could meaningfully check the win conditions beyond what has already been done: speculative reasoning. Like the time loop example. Given that Alien X can keep reverting Hal's actions indefinitely, and given that the Lantern Rings have a limited battery that can be depleted, and given that recharging the ring is not an instantaneous process, then there must eventually be a window, however brief, where Hal is without his power. And given that without his power Hal is an ordinary human man, Alien X should be able to dispatch him in less than a second. Unless you can prove one of those assumptions false, or find some flaw in this chain of logic, what else is there to confirm? There's no experiments to conduct or anything, it's all a hypothetical thought excercise.

@@theduckgoesmoo There are definitely flaws with how he approaches the video: The lack of research he does on Hal along with his reasonings for how Ben could win without X completely ignoring Hal’s speed and defenses. How he talks about the Sotoboro effect doesn’t really change the out come because it only allows a time let to sense when someone else is traveling in time. Nothing in the show indicates that it’ll tell them where the other person is going or that they could get there first. Wyatts statement about Alien X being able to “Destroy multiverse in six thoughts” IS taken seriously by fans, which is why DB addressed it since they take creative team’s statements into consideration. Also Wyatts doesn’t remember making the statement anyways, so it is proven to be not serious. Duncan rouleau has also said a loooot of things that contradict what’s presented in the shows and what other Man of Action statements already exist: X’s omnipotence, the Ben 10 universe being infinite, and so on. He spends a lot more time trying to debunk the animation, even though there’s only a few points of actual merit being that X’s duplicates aren’t Shadow clones but Death Battle treated them like clones. But he takes the “Four Arms did more damage to Hal’s shield than X did” as X being presented as weaker even though you could easily argue that Hal is concentrating even more than at the beginning of the fight since he doesn’t know who Ben is or what his aliens could do =he doesn’t know what Four Arms is or how strong he is vs. he’s taken hits from X at that point already and knows how strong he is, thus he knows to make the shield stronger.

So Deathbattle does a weekly podcast and they responded to this video, the big thing is Deathbattle takes this all into account to make their decision and while that's going on its being Animated, the animators don't even know who is going to win when they start, they don't have a big budget so they also have animation limitations often using existing available sprites, I agree the battle shows the fight poorly but I agree with their outcome

Even with cutting it off and crushing ben it could still trigger and revive ben and with hal holding the watch ben could pull a bat man slip the ring off go 4 arms and crush Hal. The omntrix does not have a failsafe for anything except death or pulling the watch itself off Ben's wrist, so the ending still works. Hal's ring can't be pulled off in the midst of combat. The omnitrix also cannot revive Ben, you just made up a power for him. Hal overcame Parallax, the literal embodiment of fear. Toepick can't do anything.

Hal starts the cut Omnitrix detects a lethal injury that could cause Ben to bleed out triggering the anti death fail-safe. the Crushing could also trigger the fail-safe. Dismemberment and crushing are not to far off from obliteration from the literal big bang. It also sort of revived Ben once, in alien force chromastone gets shattered and the omnitrix fail safe triggers pulling him back together as diamondhead. Keep in mind batman can one up Hal and slip the the ring off with out him noticing even if it's for a few moments. Hal is not flawless like the ending hal gets overconfident thinks oh i can just go back in time cut his arm off and crush him, alien x could feel him go back fallow him revive the alternate past Ben just by thinking. keep in mind alien x could create a universe or erase it by literally thinking. The omnitrix doesn't act until the moment of death, proven by how Ben is literally able to say a full sentence as the big bang is expanding in his face, and the omnitrix still does nothing until the blast is about to envelop Ben completely. The failsafe is rather irrelevant, as Hal is fast enough to simply blitz Ben with his immeasurable speed, scaling to Wally West who outran instant teleportation. When the omnitrix brought Ben back as Chromastone, that was because Diamondhead's species and chromastone's species have a special connection, which is proven by how Tetrax literally drills Chromastone out of Diamondhead, and the fact that Chromastone's head crystal is used to revive Petropia, home world of Diamondhead's species as well as the petrosapiens themselves. If Ben had been killed as any other alien, that would've been the end of him for good. That was in a non combat situation. The ring let Batman pull it off because it knew he was not a threat and simply wanted to examine it. Sinestro, who has literally been a Green Lantern before, doesn't ever try that tactic because he knows it's not that easy. Even Batman's own contingency plans for GL do not involve removing the ring. Alien X can't know Hal went back in time. If you're thinking of the Sotobro Effect, that only happens when chronosapiens manipulate time because they leave behind a ripple as a side effect for other beings to sense. This ripple does not exist outside Ben 10, and is certainly not a thing in DC. So the sotobro effect should not be considered as a real factor when putting Ben up against anyone not from his verse, unless said character is explicitly noted to leave a ripple behind when they time travel. So you want Ben to get outside help? Something that has been against the rules of Death Battle since season 1?

It makes no sense the omnitrix fail-safe can handle the big bang but not Hal going 'fast'. You think Azimuth the smartest guy in 5 galaxies wouldn't consider some one going fast and trying to cut it off? Ben also has the intuition. Use alien x to rewind time to where Hal is right in front of Ben. lets say that don't work due to how Hal's time travel functions Ben could pick up on that and guesses Hal was gonna go back in time probably to before he used the omnitrix then go beck even further then Hal then surprise Hal with a nice try. Or use alien x's power to track hal Where ever or when ever he goes. Alien x could literally spawn a Hal tracking device or make a insane amount of duplicates and search where ever or when ever or delete the GL core. Time travel and take his past self home or some where safe.

As far as it's aware, it no longer has a wielder, so there's no reason for it to act up and do anything, which it can't do anyway because it's not connected to the rest of Ben's body, just his severed arm. A big bang is fast, but not outrunning instant teleportation fast, a speed that Hal scales to. Considering Azmuth didn't even make the omnitrix give Ben the right alien despite knowing he slams on the dial instead of just pressing it, yes, I can believe it wouldn't include a limb removal failsafe. It has not been seen, therefore it doesn't exist as far as we know. Surprise Hal with what? Existence erasure which Hal has tanked on a multiversal scale? However many clones Alien X creates, Hal can make just as many constructs of himself that are all as powerful as he is, and they can all blast the Alien X clones with a laser powerful enough to kill multiversal beings. After all, Hal killed Mandrakk, an outerversal being who damaged Cosmic Armor Superman, by putting a construct stake through his heart.

I feel like I need to put this here for... everyone. I see a lot of Green Lantern fanboys here saying that Ink Tank is saying that Ben would win just because of a bias he has as he didn't do any research into GL... but tell me, did Ink Tank at ANY point say that Ben would definitely win? Did they even imply that Ben would win in the slightest? I'll save you from checking because the answer is no. They never said who would win, they simply said that there were some things that they got wrong about the fight because DB didn't do enough research into Ben, they simply stated why certain things in the fight wouldn't happen the way they did due to stuff that Ben is capable of (like the time travel, cutting off Ben's arm, etc.). Heck, they even specifically said that they wouldn't talk about GL as they're not as knowledgeable on him and there are other videos from people that are more informed on that topic. This wasn't a video to say who would win, this was a video to say that DB got some things wrong and the fight wouldn't have happened in that exact way... they made no implication as to what the end result would be. And on that note, as somebody who has an unbiased opinion from not getting involved with either of the series... yeah, there are definitely more compelling arguments for Ben winning.

Yeah, Hal can't stop Alien X. Even pretending Alien X couldn't do anything to Hal, which he can, Hal can't hurt Alien X and his ring WILL run out of power eventually. Where Alien X will not. They claimed Hal hurting a character called Mandrakk proved he could hurt Alien X, but looking into it he didn't ACTUALLY hurt Mandrakk. He took power from the ENTIRE Green Lantern Corp (Which was summoned to the location by a god from outside the multiverse (Which is also what Alien X is)) and he put a stake through Mandrakk's heart. This worked, because Mandrakk is a "vampire". He's a Monitor, and he went evil. The Monitors are abstract beings. They do things like eat stories, use hunter killer metaphors, concept weapons, things that don't make any sense to 3 dimensional beings like us. This Monitor's weakness is abstract, not getting hit really hard. That's why the idea that he's a vampire makes him vulnerable to a stake through the heart, provided by the entire Green lantern Corps, and sunlight. Provided by a ton of Kryptonian eye beams. This character was previously defeated by pushing him out of the multiverse, and I mean that literally the other Monitors invented a giant Superman robot to do it, and then he could not get back to the Multiverse because the people living there, forgot about him. People not remembering him was sufficient to seal him away from the Multiverse. Alien X, doesn't care what you believe, he creates what you believe. His race can freely alter any detail they wish across the entire Multiverse, which is infinite by the way. If they want to, they can also destroy all of it. They joke about it taking "Six Thoughts" and while that was a joke from the person who said it, Alien X can indeed destroy the Multiverse. The entire Multiverse actually DOES get destroyed at one point in time, an alien that can control time makes a bomb that destroys the whole multiverse. Yep. And it goes off. And nobody stops it. Then a version of Ben who never had the Omnitrix gets one, turns into an alien called a Chronosapien that can control time, which is WEAKER than Alien X, and then he just. Undoes it. An Alien weaker than Alien X being controlled by a Ben with NO experience being any aliens undoes Multiversal destruction. That's more than Hal has ever faced before, at the very least it's more than he can possibly handle alone.

He also kills monitors with just the shock wave of his fight with the superman robot, and monitors can take universes exploding in their face. Emerald twilight, or more specifically zero hour had hal absorb the central battery, yes, then bring back he multuverse, creating 'perfect worlds' for every single dc character and gringind them to nothing trying to Improve them. and fighting the entire multiverse when they turn against him. Every time hal crushes one of those universes, the characters from that timeline are erased. Like the alternate batgirl that aids them. And he DID create an entire city on his own. And an entire planet, and star. In his basic training he made a universe. And guess what? Hal fought his parallax self to a standstill thanks to time travel, showing he CAN match that power. Also, considering he can access the central battery at literally any time, that's a poor argument against using it. My argument is that alien x made a universe, hal has repeatedly made MULTIVERSES. Therefore hal is stronger. Insisting on using hal holding a city u ntill his ring ran out is as dishonest as using alien x making a DAM as his limit. And scaling alien x to clockwork with outside help is pointless.

Ben can also absorb energy too, and with chromestone he can let all of Hal's constructs pass through him or out right absorb it, then fire it back, as long as he stops using energy which will be hard. He can also use ghostfreak for possession or if this is ultimate Alien watch turn to Ult big chill and absorb all the heat from his body freezing him instantly.
