Hello Charlie…. What a beautiful trek to each of these lovely, fantastic views. OMGosh the clouds, valleys and the hike kinda looked scary there for a minute after your tea, but oh so beautiful. That flat stone you stood on was quite the view. I sure enjoyed everywhere you took us today… all 6 and biking as well. I am doing well with my knee surgery. Exercising and walking out doors in fresh air. For now, I’ll be patient and let you take me on a visual view with your wonderful videos. Thankyou and stay well. Cheers, Lilli

Well done on doing 6 munros, great filming. Way too much for me and my hill buddies. Took us 3 hill days to do those hills. The cycle out is some what refreshing after the walk, except for the odd hill and deer. ( A friend just missed being wiped out on his MTB when a large red deer bolted across his bikes path).
@charliemccartney70552 жыл бұрын
Hi Rich, The cycle out is a good warm down although you probably don't notice it at the time...lol. With the trees getting cleared out along the road the hazards of the cycle should be greatly reduced. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.

I remember doing these in a Victorian weekend expedition from Rannoch station to Dalwhinnie station. We enjoyed the same sunshine as you, but the 1000m tops were covered in soggy blinding white snow. Also we did not have the advantage of bikes waiting for us. Loch Ericht feels like it goes on forever.

Another magnificent video Charlie. Ben Alder has one of the most expansive views in the Highlands. I spent a glorious day at the summit in Sept 1977; beats any Mediterranean beech. One anecdote was I was sleeping alone in Ben Alder Bothy, and during one night I was woken up by a party of people coming in. When I was fully awake no one was there.

Great video of a wonderful area. Nice to see the autumn tints now appearing on the grasses and providing additional warmer colours to the summer blues and greens. Was out this morning on the hills above Loch Ness and the grasses and reeds provided a very colourful scene, probably more so that what you are seeing here. All the best, Ian

Amazing video again Charlie, timing is bang on as I am going try this or the Loch Arkaig Munros on Saturday - any benefit to doing this clockwise/anti-clockwise? I suppose its probably best getting the drop between Alder/Beinn Eibhinn out the way early. What fantastic conditions you got as-well, we have to make the most of it while it lasts 😁 Cheers, James
@charliemccartney70552 жыл бұрын
Hi James, We have found the clockwise route a bit easier as it's a harder finish going the other way. You also have the feeling of starting to walk out once you've reached the third top. Have a great day if you decide for Ben Alder. Cheers, Charlie.

All due respect to you both, those are hard grafting to do 6 in one day with the cycle in and out to boot, even more so with one of you not feeling so great. I have been subscribed to your channel and watching your videos for some months and now finally got around to creating an account, where I can add comments. This video, like all your others, I have thoroughly enjoyed. Your latest Ben Alder one is big mileage, over 50k I believe. Beinn Bheoil and Ben Alder I have done, from Dalwhinnie, but the other four are still to do. I am thinking of the approach from the Loch Laggan side, with an overnight camp. Have you done them from that side?
@charliemccartney70552 жыл бұрын
Hi Jonathan, I haven't come in from Loch Laggan but I suggest its a better option for you with the four still to do. Getting on the track for Lubvan ruin will get you into the back of Beinn a' Chlachair. Cheers, Charlie.
