Paddle covers: had a person looking at a Filth today and was excited to see they came with a cover. Most folks have 1 paddle, maybe 2 or 3, but rarely more, so covers make sense. For my demo bag I have 10 paddles so put a cover on every other one.

I keep the paddle covers on all of my paddles. Mostly because I don't know what else to do with them. Although, I do really like the cover for my J2Ti. Speaking of the J2Ti, it is one of my favorite looking paddles along with the Vatic Pro Sagas and the Bread & Butter paddles. Happy holidays and great podcast guys! Jacob, I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you! Yes, Honolulu has some of the best paddle covers around. I agree J2Ti is their best looking paddle.

paddle covers … I use them as dividers in my bag. I have the Vatic Pro Backpack which I love, but middle paddle compartment doesn’t have dividers/sleeves. Typically I will carry a couple of paddles in their covers and put them to the back. Then, the one or two paddles I want quick access to I will put in front between covers acting as dividers/sleeves.

Good podcast. Any information about CRBN Trufoam?

Ben "demoted" Colin to run camps I'm guessing. CJ is such a baby on the court no one is eager to take him as a partner. Glad SELKIRK and the others are standing up to BIG PICKLE.!! Paddle companies need to ditch the tech that needs "break in" If edge guards use them for perimeter weight, using weight tape on a "edgeless" works fine. My gripe with edge guards is they are so bulky or oversized. They could make them "slimmer" or lower profile at the face I carry several paddles around and use covers so they won't scuff up the others.

Thanks for the comment Kim. Good points, I don’t think many want a camp with Colin Johns unless that attitude is better off court.

Definitely start your son young if you want him to have a future. Look at tennis, ALL Division 1 up to Pros start at a young age, it's unheard of to get to those levels if you start any further than age 14. Your son would definitely have an advantage if you start him young. You know PB will be a high school sport in the coming years, it's already a college sport...only going to get bigger.

For sure, we will be on the court this year

Jacob, glad one of our high school tennis teams were good. We sucked. 🤣 Took me another 5+ years after high school to get decent at tennis. David, you might add theraband flexbar to your forearm exercises. Eccentric stretch/strengthening, probably start with green one. We love, love love our Lifetime courts built over the basketball court. We have no issue with bounce, and you realize how much forgiveness on the lower body it provides when you go play at other facilities. Jacob … you are a young dude with knee sleeves … just sayin. 😉 fyi … I now like the Lifetime ball better than the X40 … bounces better and seems to last longer. Now they need to make it optic yellow rather than green. I have not played on any other cushioned courts yet … I heard Ace Pickleball has cushioned courts. Indoor pickleball facilities need to learn from indoor tennis clubs … indirect lighting pointed up and reflected off white ceiling.

Yeah, I have been using knee sleeves since high school after an injury so never taking them off. Hopefully it will prolong my career.

@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball No idea how I survived 40+ years of tennis (much singles) with no knee issues. Several tennis friends had knee replacements, one both knees. What you want is to see is cushioned courts perfected, and while they are at it, the ball.
