Cracking video Frank and well done 👏 it's a looooong day , did these 2 in heavy snow ❄ was knackered before I started climbing the 1st Munro 🏔 the walk out was so bad I had to stick headphones on and listen to some tunes to take my mind off the walk out 🙄 on the positive side the tors on Ben Avon are something else 🏔 and the views are stunning 😎 you'll be glad you've knocked them off the list 🏔🏔 atb Brian 👍

Cheers Brian, now that’s hard core doing these 2 in heavy snow walking all the way, must have taken ages. I have done that on a couple hikes listen to music on way back to relieve the boredom. The Tors on Ben Avon are spectacular and was glad we got great views.👍 Yeh it’s good to get them 2 ticked off.🏔🏔👍 Cheers mate, ATB Frank👍🏔🥾

Did exactly the same mistake several years ago on the bike as you did on your second wrong route 😀 Great video.

Big day Frank. Enjoyed that oan the big Roger Mellie. We Camped on Avon. Dropped the bikes near where yooz did tae. Took the wrong turn anaw 😆
@hikingwithfrank3152 жыл бұрын
🤣🤣seems everyone is taking a wrong turn on this route kev. That would have been a nice camp spot. I didn’t see the point taking the bikes up to the ruin, would have been easier leaving them further down and just walking up. Thanks for watching again bud, ATB Frank👍🏔🥾

Wow! That's a long day Franko! Especially with a couple of wee detours! 😁. It's so easy to do that on the bike. So after doing both the high and low road which one was the best?.. some amazing views from up on the sneck, a bit windy and you still managed to get the drone out! Fantastic. I loved the big tors on Ben Avon, nice wee scrambling bit. A fantastic long day out mate and hope the hip is feeling better. If you were doing it again would you take the bike as far as you did? Paul
@hikingwithfrank3152 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, longest yet mate🤣🤣 So yeh could have done without the detours🚴♂️🤣👍 both were shit tbh. I would leave the bike when you do them where the path splits at the lower and higher paths. There is certainly no advantage taking the bike up to the ruin. Walking wise the lower path is more scenic. It’s a brilliant day out and the Tors up on Ben Avon are superb, nice wee scramble to the top. Tried the drone at the bottom of the Tor but wind was too strong and it was starting to go with the wind so got it back in quick. Not so windy at sneck so got it up for a minute or 2. Brilliant day out and glad we camped night before. Hip is feeling better so 🤞for Skye. Cheers mate, ATB Franko👍🏔🥾

Firstly hope ur hip is ok Frank?Ur 2nd re-routing i did as well as my bike wanted to follow the better path.🤣🤣🤣 The low/high paths are a nightmare and still not sure what one is better than the other.Great circular route all the same and well done with the black bags for the river. Sent u an e-mail.😀👍
@hikingwithfrank3152 жыл бұрын
Hi Andy, hip is on the mend thank god with my Skye trip coming soon. Yeh the track we went down certainly looked the better on approach🤣🤣 Both paths were a nightmare Andy. We pushed the bikes all the way up on the lower path and coming back the higher path we pushed a lot of the way as well.🤣🤣 Great day oot Andy and the circular route was fantastic. I’ve used the black bin bags before and they do the trick. I’ve sent you a reply in your email. ATB Frank👍🏔🥾

Hi Frank, Nice one... you'll be glad that some of these long Cairngorm outings are behind you and get back to the Munros that are straight up out of the car 😂 Cheers, Charlie
@hikingwithfrank3152 жыл бұрын
Hi Charlie, as you well know the cairngorms are always a long day with big miles. Still loved everyone of them, although I do still prefer straight out of the car and up you go.🤣🏔👍 ATB Frank.

well done fellas! that looked a tough and long one Frank. This was supposed to be my first bike and hike last year but I found the bike in hard going and lot harder than expected so just jacked it before I got to the ruins. I lost all appetite for a hike by then ! I will have to return at some point! fancy doing this route again with me? LOL hope the hip is better! cheers, Andrew
@hikingwithfrank3152 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, yeh it was a long one but thoroughly enjoyed it, the cycle after the tarmac road was hard going🚴♂️😅😅 think we cycled more than we needed to which was a bummer. Think I’ll take a rain check on coming in with you again.😂😂 Glad the cairngorms are coming to an end, they’ve all been good but a long way to get to any of them. Hip is getting better Andrew I’m hoping it’s gonna be ok for the Skye trip🤞🤞 Cheers mate, ATB Frank👍🏔🥾

Nice 1 Frank and John.... I hope your hip is on the mend buddy? Great long day mate looked a tough 1??? Doing well on the old cairngorms, Some of the bike sections looked a bit dodgy🥵🥵🥵 Enjoyed it 👍 ATB Tam
@hikingwithfrank3152 жыл бұрын
Cheers Tam, hip is getting better thank god, Skye trip is just around the corner. It was a long day Tam could have without the detours🤣🚴♂️ 11hrs 15mins my longest to date. Felt fine next morn apart from hip pain. Only 4 left now in the cairngorms and I’ll do them in one hit. Yeh some of the cycling sections were tough and I would leave the bike sooner and walk as there was no benefit in taking the bike all the way up to the ruin. Thanks for watching mate. ATB Frank👍🏔🥾

Another long epic day. At this rate you’ll soon get to 282. You fell off your bike twice. Don’t you think you should wear a helmet. I came off my bike last year and whacked the side of my head on the deck. If I wasn’t wearing a helmet the consequences could have been much worse🤔
@hikingwithfrank3152 жыл бұрын
Cheers Brian, it was an epic day, still a few years away before I’ll get to 282. Yeh I’ve came off my bike a few times now, I’ve started wearing a helmet now as you may have seen in previous vids, it’s just that day I bloody forgot it. Landing on my head rather than my hip doesn’t bear thinking about. Cheers again for watching & the comment👍 ATB Frank.
