Ito naman yung story ko. Let's name him J. Kaklase ko siya nung grade 6 and I just remembered calling him mushroom head Kasi yung hairstyle niya ganun haha. We were friends since then. Then highschool life. nasa ibang school ako nagfirst year tapos I chose na magpatransfer for lots of reasons nung 2nd year ako. Turns out he goes to the same school, only he's in the classroom beside mine. He doesn't have the same hairdo (thank goodness lol) We were happy to see each other Kasi magkakilala kami. During break times or when there's no teacher we peak at each other's room to look for the other. Then 3rd year came. We became classmates/bestfriends!! He was my biggest pal. I started to have a small crush sa kanya kasi ang bait bait niya, cute, gentleman pa siya, and we get each other. I liked the dynamic na meron kami. Yung mga kaklase ko din na girls may crush sa kanya and I'm happy kasi ako yung lagi kasama niya. Then one day, one of the girls came up to me and said "Alam mo na ba na may gf na siya?" Ako naman shookt pero hindi naniwala kasi he would have told me if he had one. Then ayun, totoo pala. Si girl ayaw din ako lumapit sa kanya kasi lagi sumasama sakin yung best friend ko na si guy. So ako, stupid and mahilig magpakamartyr, stayed away from him. During the time na inaavoid ko siya another guy came into my life- let's call this guy B. He was a transfer student and he didn't really catch my attention cause my focus was on my crush J this whole time. Then ayun nga, si B , him and his friend stayed with me and hang out with me, I had lots of fun times with them. Narealize ko na may gusto pala sakin si B, he's been trying to make his presence known sa buhay ko ever since he transferred by teasing me and making bets with me kung sino mas magaling sa Math (fun fact: I was never good at math until I met B kasi naiinis ako na lagi ako talo sa kaniya). And I became comfortable with him. I thought it was nice that he was in my life. After some time, napansin ko na si J, he kept reaching out to me. Out of confusion tinanong ko siya kung bakit nag-gogo against siya sa wishes ng gf niya (nagbreakup na pala sila, di ko alam ahaha- he found out that the girl was firing shots at me sa mga group texts that she sends out sa klase). And ayun, I let him back sa buhay ko, he said he was sorry for being such a bad friend and he misses me. Starting from that point on, I was in the middle of a love triangle, and I didn't want to be in it. Si J and B nadevelop yung feelings nila para sakin and they kept trying to one-up each other all the time ng hindi ko napapansin ( everyone in class did except for me, I thought we were such great friends haha) . That was a pretty long story. But I didn't choose either of them because ayoko na mawala sila as my besties. B was okay with it pero si J, out of his broken heart, avoided me once again, he couldn't bear that I didn't choose him. That was 7 years ago, after all those years I still believe that I made the right decision kasi J became my best friend still after a whole year of me asking for his forgiveness, he admitted that he still loves me, pero ayoko parin. We suit each other more as bestfriends. Si B, he's still a friend of mine. Maaann, sobrang dramatic ng mg hs days talaga hahahaha

Nagsimula sya nung pa transition na kami to g9. Magkaklase kami since G2. Napaka sungit nya, yung tipong umiiyak ka na natawa pa sya. Ako lagi trip ng babaeng yon kaya galit na galit ako sa kanya. Marami kaming napagsamahan. Di kakasya ang comment section kapag na kwento ko na lahat. Masasabi mong maputi sya, matangkad, medyo patpatin ng kaunti tapos maamong mga mata, yng mata lang kase demonyo sya. Bossy ang dating nya sa lahat ng mga kaklase namin pero naging close kami. Nag simula yung feelings ko sa kanya nung biglang magbago yung ugali nya. Yung mga bagay na ginagawa ko na ikinagagalit nya biglang nagbago, di na sya nagagalit, humaba pasensya nya ng sobra. Yung tipong Demonyo na nag asal tao. Hindi ko na realise na gusto ko na pala sya. Lagi kong iniisip na wala lang to parang friendly feelings lang. And then nag grow na nag grow. Gusto ko n lagi syang nkakausap, nakikita, kasabay umuwi ;pero torpe kase ako. Hindi sa dahil nahihiya ako, yun ay dahil anlayo ng itsura ko sa kanya. Malapit na Birthday nya, hindi kase ako katulad ng iba na may pera, na pwedeng manghingi sa magulang. Mahirap lang kami at ang baon ko lang bente na kung minsan wala pa. 2 weeks bago yon, Hindi ko ginagastos pera ko. Bibilhan ko man lang sana ng teddy bear para naman mau mag regalo sa kanya. Nagtitiis ako ng gutom pero dahil buraot ako nanghihingi ako ng pagkain sa mga kaklase ko. Ganon ako kapursigido kaso nag ka problema. Nagshort lolo at lola ko sa budget. Wala kaming pang kain ng araw na yon kaya ibinigay ko na lang sa kanila yung pera na pambili sana ng teddy bear. 3 days na lang. Wala ata akong maibibigay. And then naisip ko mag sulat na lang ako ng letter. Bumili ako ng Colored papre tas nagpaturo ako sa kaklase kong babae kung pano mag tupi tupi ng papel kase dia ko marunong. Naisip kong mas magandang mag sulat na lang ng tula. Nagpuyat ako kakaisip kung ano bang magandang isulat tas nag-calligraphy na ko para naman maganda sya tignan. Pag dating ng birthday nya ibinigay ko yung tula tas nag sabi lang sya ng thank you. Sa Valentines Day naghanda ako syempre Valentines yun eh. 2 weeks nag ipon ako. Nangalakal ako. Yung mga karton na ibininigay ng kapitbahay, yung mga plastik na ote tas mga lata inipon ko, kasama na yung baon ko. Pero di ata aabot. Tinulungan ako ng mga kaklase ko. Gumawa kami ng bulaklak na creep paper tas ginawa naming parang bouquet ng flowers. Dumating yung araw nayon. Bumili ako ng apat na bulaklak na tig sampu. Yung tatlo ibinigay ko sa mga teachers namin na babae. Yung isa akala nya sa kanya ko ibibigay pero ibinigay ko sa nasa likuran nya. Nramdaman kong parang nag aabang sya kung mag bibigay ako o hindi. Habang klase ayaw akong pansinin hanggang sa nag uwian. Bago pa man sya nakauwi nilabas ko yung mga bulaklak. Kabong kabado ako. Ibinigay ko yun sa kanya tapos sinabi ko yung tulang ginawa ko. kiligan yung buong Classroom. And then natapos na yung eksena. Inaasahan ko na ma rereject ako at yung nga ang nangyare. Hindi ako nanghinayang sa pera o sa effort kase tinanggap nya. Nanghinayang ako sa time. Wala parang nablanko ako nung mga oras nayon. Sanay akong ma reject pero yun yung 1st time na naramdaman ko yun. Parang gusto mong umiyak pero wala kang mailabas na luha tapos required kang ngumiti para masabi mong ok lang.Akala ko dun na ang ending ng lahat pero Mag gg11 nako, sya parin, walang pagbabago. Sa twing hindi ko na sya ma aalala bigla syang mag papakita sa aken. Like WTF gusto ko na ng iba pero tadhana na yung nagawa ng paraan para di mangyare yon. Nakakapagod, nakakainis, nakakabuyset pero satwing titingin sya sakin habang nakangiti tas sasabihin nya yung pangalan ko biglang yung inis, pagod tas kabuysitan ko mawawala. ewan ko kung hanggang kailan magtatagal to. Magkaiba na kami ng School pati ng Landas na tinatahak. Marami naman ata kong makikitang iba na mas better. Pero kung sakali na sya parin at hindi man lang nagbago yung feelings ko sa kanya, siguro, siguro sya talaga? Ewan di ko na alam. Sana kung gaano man kalayo ang mala impakto kong mukha sa mala dyosa nyang ganda sana in the Near Future maging kasing lapit na naging kami. Tadhana na lang ang huhusga. Salamat kung nabasa mo hanggang dulo.

Naaalala ko pa, way back 201x, I was writing a paper for our Filipino subject that time, he approached me, sat on a chair and placed his right elbow on my left shoulder. Napasabi na lang ako sa sarili ko na, "Yes, tama ang nararamdaman ko for him for almost a year." Hindi spark yung na-feel ko, it's brighter than that. Of all people, bakit ikaw ang naging seat mate ko that time hahaha he reminds me of Donny drawing Belle. Disclaimer: LONG POST AHEAD This song/mv is very nostalgic and kinda reminds me of my HS days and then i realized i don't only have one but two "upuan" stories. It all started during our junior year in HS. Well this guy and i belong to a very large group of friends. He was my least closest guy friend in the group kasi medyo awkward ako sa kanya haha but nag re shuffle ng seating arrangement sa classroom and i end up seated next to him so ayun doon nag start closeness namin.. So from two awkward friends naging instant bff kami. So this guy bff we remain close for the rest of the school year kasi he's in a relationship w/ someone so very platonic yung relationship namin. Fast forward to the next school year re shuffling again ng section unfortunately magkaiba kami ng section and guy bff broke up with his girl so single na ulit si Kuya niyo haha.. I end up seated next to a very cute guy sa class pero he's like a wallflower sa batch. Tahimik and very observant mga ganyang type. (in case you're all wondering bakit lalaki na naman katabi ko, ganon po talaga seating arrangement namin opposite sex usually magkatabi) Anyways, back to seatmate #2 altho magkaiba kami ng trip we actually hit it off. Si guy bff idk for some reason na notice siguro na close na ako dun sa isa nag iba na pakitungo. Medyo very attentive na sa akin sometimes he would borrow my phone ganyan kasi during recess or breaks in between classes na kami nagkakasama eh. Seatmate #2 aware siya na my feelings ko kay guy bff so sometimes he would give me some unsolicited advice. So parang almost half of the school year guy bff and i were playing this weird game of cat and mouse di mo alam kung sino unang bibigay sa amin re our feelings. One day, guy bff confesses he wanted to court someone so laking gulat ko sabi ko i thought my understanding kami neto? Nag assume lang ba ako? So i told him sige go for it feeling ko may gusto din sayo yung girl. So ako i tried to distance myself kasi masakit eh. Seatmate #2 comforted me all throughout the whole ordeal. So ayun guy bff ended up dating the girl for a month. While seatmate #2 and i got closer pa. Pero very platonic lang talaga yung pakitungo altho medyo na fi feel ko na si seatmate #2 iba na yung treatment sa akin. Hindi ko inentertain yung thought kasi parang sa isip baka masira na naman yung friendship kung ma involve yung feelings so i tried to be platonic to him as much as i can. So yeah after a month of my guy bff dating someone and me trying to move on and living my life. Guy bff confronted me why daw i was distancing myself. I told him na i just need a new scenery tapos nag ask if nang liligaw daw si seatmate #2 something like that. Yung loko loko biglang nakipag break sa gf. So ayun si guy bff balik na naman sa scene at dahil one group lang kami naging okay kami kaagad. Okay in a way na parang we have a mutual understanding for the rest of the school year. Kami na hindi officially kami? So ayun si seatmate #2 he distanced himself na rin to give way kay guy bff kasi feeling nya may feelings pa rin ako kay guy bff. When prom came medyo awkward na kami ni seatmate #2 we don't know how to act towards each other at ina avoid din namin na matukso ng ibang classmates. So after graduating HS, SM #2 nag migrate na sa ibang bansa. As for guy bff and i never talaga naging kami but we remain friends altho not as close as before (he actually tried asking me out ulit in college yung seryoso na talaga pero that time kasi medyo sobrang busy ko sa school so i refuse) So after watching this mv medyo nag wonder ako sino ba dapat yung main lead sa "upuan" story ko? Kaninong upuan ba dapat ako sumandal? Anyways, this mv and the lyrics of the song made me reminisce my HS days yung feeling ng kilig, 1st heartbreak, kasi as you get older minsan nagiging jaded na tayo sa life. It feels good that we have this cute stories to share. Siguro if my takeaway ako sa kwento na to is to always value the friendship. I love the fact that we were able to save ours despite what happened. Years later and I'm still friends with guy bff kahit na he's happily married na with kids haha ninang pa ako ng anak niya. As for SM #2 i never saw him since graduation but we tried communicating over the years small hi hello sa chat ganyan and may mga years na di talaga nag uusap. I recently moved abroad and we're in the same place now and planning to meet up if our schedule permits. Sorry for the long post pero diyan na nagtatapos ang "upuan" story ko. I love the concept. It feels like in parallel universe this is what will happen when “he” meets “her”. I think they were just portraying their old highschool selves. A parallel universe where Highschooler Donny meets the Highschool version of Belle. Donny is an introvert he admitted it so most likely he’s like this when he’s in HS. Belle on the other hand is a lively jolly girl, so I assume she’s a social butterfly in her school. It gives us a glimpse of what will likely happen if their two persona will meet at the same time at the same timeline (they have four year age gap).
