Thank you, Gary! Mission Accomplished! I'm glad you enjoyed the series. Thanks for being along for the ride. Now, the question is, what to build next...

Done.....finally....great job in the end, Ben. The overall effect is terrific and you must be so relieved that it's over and the build has ended up well (even though you see flaws, we don't). The G55 is something to look forward to so see you on the next episode of BB!

Thank you so much! This was a fun adventure to be sure, but I am very relieved to be finished. It was touch-and-go for a bit there. My heart just dropped when I saw that I had damaged the finish on the wing tip and then again when the corner of the decal lifted. I just thought, this kit hates me lol. But, it turned out alright, especially for my first real attempt at Alclad NMF and at building a Kitty Hawk kit. I'm not so hesitant with bare metal finishes now and I'm actually exited to try a few more. The G.55 is a lot of fun and I am glad you are enjoying that series! I'll have more on that build later this week!

Wow, watching you persevere through this, it looks very nice now! That NMF is superb.

Thank you, Bryan! It was a tough kit, but I'm glad I stuck it out. I don't do NMF stuff very much, but after using Alclad, I am excited to try a few more. Thanks for watching!

That turned out amazing even with all the issues! The FJ-2 was not a long serving Navy aircraft which makes this model almost as rare! Congrats! 👍

Thank you, Ed! I have always loved the Fury and it is really nice to have one in the display case. It fought back through most of the project, but I got it done in the end. Not sure if it is a good idea, but I kind of want to build the FJ-3 now lol. Thanks for watching!

@@BenBuilds, I would love to have an FJ-2, a 3 and a 4 in my collection. You did an awesome job in my opinion!

Thank you, so much! I am happy with the end product and it was fun to try out Alclad.

Turned out great Ben...I'm still learning all the ins and outs of doing metal finishes as well...we'll get there, but in the end, it's just about having fun at the bench...on to the G.55

Right you are! Having fun is paramount. Even with all the troubles that I had on the Fury, this project was a ton of fun. Plus, it has inspired me to try other NMF aircraft. Maybe some cold war Soviet aircraft! The G.55 is a great little kit and I'm excited to get back at it. Should have the next episode up on Friday!

Well from the final look you would never know you had any issues! It came out amazing Ben. Fantastic job on just sticking with it. Glad you got it done buddy. Now I can't wait to see how the G.55 turns out.

Thanks, Joe! It was certainly a harder project than I had anticipated, but it was still a lot of fun to try Alclad and work on my NMF process. Thank you again for those paints, buddy. I couldn't have done this with out them. I made it through this one, so now it is on to the G.55 and some other builds and projects. That G.55 is a lot of fun!

Turned out amazing Ben. Really enjoyed watching you build it! Great work on the bare metal finish, and I think you did just the right amount of weathering. I've learned the hard way about gloss coat coverage, I tend to over do it nowadays.

Thank, Joe! Yeah, I don't know what happened with the gloss covering. It ended up well enough, but it was touch-and-go for a bit there. Now it is on to a few other projects. Thanks for watching and hope to see you on the next one!

Thanks, Dan! This was an adventure, for sure. Even with all of the trouble it gave me, I am very pleased with the end results and I will probably build the FJ-3, when it comes out. I guess that makes me a gluten for punishment. lol I'll see you on the next one!

Looks good to me.....always hard to have a nicely finished model when it fights you every step of the way. Glad you pushed through.
@BenBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It did fight back, but I stuck it out and I am glad I did. I love the Fury and I think that this was a nice introduction to Kitty Hawk, especially after reading about some of the older KH releases. I think I lucked out with this one. I'm still looking forward to them releasing the FJ-3, but since I now know the issues I'll be facing, it doesn't seem so daunting. Thanks for watching!

Thanks, Drew! This was an adventure, but I am happy with the end results, so I think that this was a success. Now, it is back to the G.55 and a few other projects, hopefully a bit easier than the Fury. See you on the next one!

Look amazing , the natural metal finish with ALCLAD, Just ordered some paint myself. Try another natural metal finish.

Thanks, Steven! Alclad has given me a bit more enthusiasm to try other bare metal builds. I have at least two other aircraft that I really want to try now. I'll probably take a bit of a breather first, but I'll do more soon. Thanks for watching!

Thanks, Ron! This was a great project, tough at times, but ultimately rewarding. True, most of the time, I think we are all our own worst critics. Regardless, at lest the Fury is done and I can move on to a few other projects. Thanks for watching!
