I love how Erin and Ben made/designed things as a surprise for each other. They’re such a loving couple and, seeing their mums, it’s easy to see the source of their loving ways. Ben’s Mum did a great job on his Napier tartan kilt and he looks great in it. He’s all ready for the caber toss! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I grew up in a small town and now we’re considered a bedroom community of Lexington Kentucky. What was one a city of 5,400 and a county Just topping 10,500. Currently their are 31,000 ppl living just in the city limits not including the city of Wilmore Ky. Which also resides in Jessamine co. My wife and I have traveled to the coast of Mississippi on several occasions and we love that area which we have commented many times that we would love a vacation or retirement home some where between laurel and Biloxi .. I love what your show and life’s passion has done for laurel. Cudos Ben and Erin. If Laurel is ever in need of a post master. My wife would come in a Heartbeat . Respectfully, Romeo & Angela Welch..

Small tiles (in the bathroom) are a desaster to clean because of the joint between them. Even if they used anti-molding, it will look bad in a few weeks. And if you clean the joint too harshly, it will be worn out. Otherwise it is a homey place and they are a lovely couple with lovely mums.

@@rubyoro0 I think you are right, but since I have small tiles on my floor, put down not d.i.y. but by a professional, I have the experience first hand 😩…

Drying them thoroughly with dry clothes each time they get helps keep them in good shape. Also using liquid soap stops the build up of product on the tiles, grout and glass. Also spray cleaning product in dry tiles/shower once a week and leave in overnight. Avoid scubbing the tiles and grout because that just creates more nooks and a crannies for water, mould and germs to lurk in.

I just love that y’all are the ONLY ONES WHO DONT DESTROY everything….I have always used things out of the trash, the Restore….we can’t all afford NEW….thankyou Thankyou again. Erin, I am a saver also in my kids are much older than yours in their late 30s and early 40s and they give me so much grief about being a saver but I love family history and I’m an artist and interior designer just like you are, but I love your show and I know I said that before but I think this house Will give you so much peace, you and Ben and the girls and it will be an amazing amazing place for you all to get away… It was wonderful seeing your mom‘s reactions and I wish I could live in just a small corner of your home. I can’t tell you how much it makes me to see that house because I grew up for the first nine years of my life in a lovely farmhouse similar, but not quite as grand. The things I remember was a window seat that I could sit in and look outside the world and read it the same time. It was marvelous being in that home and I know you will all be very happy there. Oh, the fun you and your family will have to mention the JOY you have just giving your daughters ❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊.

If that was the country house, I'd be staying in the country. The original kitchen cabinets were so beautiful, I am not sure the new cabinets are an improvement. They were a work of art! Hope some family gets those in their home. The new appliances are great though. Love the idea of a table space in the living room for writing, games whatever. Beautiful bedrooms! So many special features. So many pretty spaces and so many beautiful uses of pictures and art on the walls.

I feel like they are low budget Chip and Joanna. If you watch the show they are try to be like Chip and Joanna. Chip and Joanna got a farm in the country guess what now they do. Only difference is they charge way more for a project than Chip and Joanna and they don't help home buyers save money like Chip and Joanna

I love it! Love all the wood that they kept. Using white walls made the wood pop. The wallpaper gorgeous in the girls room. So happy Erin did her kitchen white. It looks so refreshing n her stove is out this world. The house is definitely a home. Very warm n cozy n very inviting. So thrilled she didn’t gut the whole inside like some people would have done. Love love your show. Saw your post on Twitter of new facility in your name on college campus! Congratulations! Keep the positive, fix things to look beautiful attitude. My husband has worked 39 years as a carpenter. He is the last of the builders that takes pride in his work to the point of not covering up rot and damage but fixing it. He also enjoys building furniture and has made all our beds in our house. The last a walnut bed for our daughter who is a little tall (not as tall as Ben) and made a full size extra long frame. I so enjoy watching the transformations and also see the bones of a house a lot of people pass over. Keep up the good work. Heard you’re also expanding to other towns to fix up. This is a fantastic endeavor as so many homes need help.Everyone deserves to live in a nice home !
