I first saw him open for Pearl Jam in North Carolina about same time. Maybe 1996 or 97. Like you said. Life changing. When he did excuse me mr. and on down. Then another lonely day. I love bass player also

@nvsd270 Voodoo Chile and Voodoo Child are two complety different songs. Voodoo Chile is a 15min during blues song, where as Voodoo Child(using the wah wah) is the song that Ben Harper and SRV covered. They both appeared on Electric Ladyland in 1968

When you guys get up and play it in front of 30000 people, you can dedicate it to whomever you want. Who wrote the song has nothing to do with it at all, only who influenced him to play it, or maybe to play guitar for that matter. It's a personal thing, so don't judge. Word.

Interesting take on a classic . Maybe he shouted out to Double Trouble(which I didn't even notice) because they were on the bill at Bonneroo. They do still tour once in a while. And this was Slight Return , the version they did with SRV , rather than the original Voodoo Chile , which I like better. But , anyway , EVERYBODY knows it's a Hendrix tune.
@Goatie6512 жыл бұрын
Mad slide guitar gives an authentic Hendrix sound...but Hendrix did it without the aid of slide, wow
