Ben did not want to do the greatest love story never told. He was not happy in that documentary, and he was upset that she let all her employees read the private book he made for her of all of their private emails and love letters between each other. If you watch that documentary , it sordive shows you that their relationship was not doing well. In his commentary in the film, he never said one good thing about her. I think he left because he wanted their relationship to be private, and she kept putting it out there.
