Ben Howard performing Oats in the Water at The Greenaway Pro 2013.
The success of the Greenaway Pro 2013 was self evident in the community spirit that brought the event to life.
With an endless number of people giving their time, efforts and support this was truly what it set out to be, a community event. It has engrossed a wider spectrum of love and friendship. Each person involved, from the surfers, musicians, organisers and most importantly the festival goers seemed to feel this at every stage of the event. @@TheCynicalB I've played guitar my entire life. I can shred relatively well, Van Halen and Vaughan feel solid and steady under my fingers. Blues, Country, Reggae I love it all. But nothing makes me feel like a beginner like learning some of Ben's crazy alternative-tuned, banjo capo'd fast as lightning with no room for error riffs. He may not be the MOST underrated but my god is he up there. He has his craft down so well even his band members are often left in awe.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why Ben Howard gets mad if you compare him to Ed Sheeran.

I'm not saying he isn't, you just can't compare him with Ben (:
@DelScully
@DelScully 9 жыл бұрын
LenaAyugi they're both very unique and extremely talented at what they do! 100% agree on the not comparable, Ben is also literally a living legend, and has been playing for 20 years! Ed sheeran is 24, and ben is 28, Ed still has 4 years to get to that level, but will forsure never be compared to Ben Howard, two different types of music entirely.

+Abraham son Hahahaha! I wonder if Ed Sheeran is aware about the comparison. I bet if he is, he probably thinks to himself, "I wish they'd stop comparing me to Ben Howard, we sound nothing alike... And I can't compete with his abilities either." And then he feels sad because he knows he's not Ben Howard.

Oh my god, I just can’t believe how outstanding this version is. That scream really hits hard. Just how I want to scream my heart out. I can feel his emotions. My husband passed away, went estranged for almost 3 years. and there are a lot of things that I should’ve asked and told him when I had the time. This broke me even more. I will never be the same again. I love him so much but it’s too late.

Danielle Nelsen If you’re trying to play that sound. Try using a Tusq nut. I got pretty close to his guitars once. Keeps the action high too, with the tunings he plays, kinda have to. It’s worth mentioning he is playing a Tele here. Nice for those bends and open notes. Good luck. The rest is his pure soul, and abundance of it! He has turned me gay, I love him 😍. In a way that completely disrespects his wife 🤫

We never truly say goodbye . Time is human and can be measured but love cannot be measured , only felt in the soul . Love is timeless and stays with us always , just in a different way . My father had to continue his journey in 2020 and I miss him , the pain is indescribable but he left lots of love and I feel it in my soul , he’s with me always . I still wake up crying but I’m trying to hold on . I just wish I could hug him once more . Someday . Much love ❤️ 🍀🌹🕊️

I'am kind of obsessed to John Martyn's music these days. I cant get enough listening to him. While reading comments on John's videos. I knew about this man. Actually i couldn't sleep and thought to watch and hear John's live videos and ended up discovering this man. I'am glad i found him. I listen hardcore punk, metal, grunge, hard rock and fusion jazz mostly. But i do appreciate and admire the beautiful creative works and always try to explore something new and different. These days i'am captivated by John Martyn's music. Hence i have been trying to find more artists and bands who are influenced by John's music and style. People like this man restore my faith in humanity always.
