I love your reaction in the beginning when you say the album is freaking great. Ben is just such a bloddy genius haha Thanks a bunch for the tutorial!

great to hear! sorry for the bad quality, without tabs. bad sound and video... but great that you managed it!! :)

+makinenandreas No it's fine mate! You don't need much to teach a song apart from being able to be a good teacher and you've got that. Thanks yeah it turned out to be pretty easy to get the hang of in the end. :) Got any plans for upcoming videos?
@makinenandreas9 жыл бұрын
+JamesWhomsley glad to hear :) sadly no, I don't have any further plans. if I do some (I will, in due time) I think it will be clocks goes forward by James bay. sadly, I haven't got my guitar for the last month and will get it in the beginning of October. THEN I will make some more! :)

I'm just not as comfortable with guitar as you clearly are. I am more confident in playing my own original songs. Do you write at all?
@DomTheHammerMan10 ай бұрын
George, I love everyone on the show and have been following since the beginning. In my opinion you should score every round as you see it. I wouldn’t mind seeing some blowout on Sparring Session
@PoScaboose10 жыл бұрын
After listening to the Spotify live session (just Ben solo), you can hear the chorus more clearly. The way I play it, which sounds almost identical to him, uses the exact shapes your using but the picking pattern goes like this. 642 (slap) 612 (slap) over and over with the same chords. Sounds pretty good. You can even leave out that 2nd string at the end of it. Your version is totally fine, the way I mentioned just adds a little more to do with your strumming hand :) Cheers!
@makinenandreas10 жыл бұрын
Holy mother of lord, had miss that version totally! Thanks for saying that, eventho I prefer the album version. Yes I can hear that now, so you are correct about that. BUT, I don't he plays it like than on the album. He usally plays some songs little bit different when he is playing solo to fill upp the sound a bit more. But yeah, thanks alot! :) Done any cover?
@PoScaboose10 жыл бұрын
makinenandreas Yeah, I think you're definitely correct. I would love to do a cover, I just don't have anything to record with other than a webcam and an iPhone. Maybe one day :)

Thanks for posting man you good tutorial. I think think bens playing the 3rd string instead of the 2nd try the same thing just instead of holding down on the 2nd put our pointer finger on the 3rd. your other tutorials also helped alot you have the basic idea
@makinenandreas10 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Have you tried it with the same tuning? Think that I tried it, but it doesn't sound so good :/
I'll try to! have much to do in school and so one, but can almost promise one before Christmas!
@robinandned31518 жыл бұрын
what's the easiest way to tune the strings to these notes? I onl have eadgbe on my guitar tuner :(
@makinenandreas8 жыл бұрын
Hi John! Even though I don't know what tuner you have, I'm 90% sure that it's a setting you need to change. I think all of the tuners I've owned have 2 modes. One where all the notes show on all of the strings, and one where the tuner will feel which string it is, and show you how much it's left until you reach the standard tuning. Google (or check manual), and if you can't make it - I recommend to buy a new tuner! :)
@robinandned31518 жыл бұрын
makinenandreas thanks I will try that mate
@7sevens10 жыл бұрын
Thank you good person
@jackward520410 жыл бұрын
You need to flip your tuning. It's the same notes just the opposite way. If you watch the iTunes festival performance of this song he's playing the g string but the notes are the same ones as the b string.
@makinenandreas10 жыл бұрын
Sounds like that could work. I thought that I read the tuning right but, I'll try that later and se how it sounds...

Do you have the tab done yet?
@makinenandreas7 жыл бұрын
Hi! Sorry but I never did a tab for this. I planned to, but didn't find the time and now it's such a long time ago and kind of pass my interest to do guitar-tutorial. But thank you for reaching out!
@sroeseler137 жыл бұрын
No problem. This tutorial is spot on, without you I wouldn't be able to learn it!
@robwalmsley15039 жыл бұрын
Is there a tab any where?
@makinenandreas9 жыл бұрын
sadly, no. I said for a long time that I was going to upload it (have to remake them then), but I forgot, and now I'm swapped with stuff.. :/
@Suna1988be10 жыл бұрын
And yeah, rivers would be great also. As for this song, i think you have it about 95% correct. The only remark that i have is when you play the bridge part and go to the 15th & 12th fret, the 12th sounds a bit low compared to live versions. i don't think he plays the 2nd fret there. i checked the itunes video. Can't see what he really plays though :p
@PoScaboose10 жыл бұрын
15th and 14th fret sounds right on that part.
@makinenandreas10 жыл бұрын
I think I got the verse right on River, but I'll work on that. Yeah we share the same thoughts there. It was on those two notes I wasn't sure. I think I say it in the video about the 2nd fret, that I don't think it's Ben whos accutally plays there. Thanks again!
@anas18324 жыл бұрын
He slides from between the frets instead of plucking them
