The answer for 'What are your goals for this year?' should have been, "Get a higher winning percentage in Men's Doubles than I did last year." Otherwise, this move shouldn't have been made.

Ben and Collin became pretty mopey last year. Their vibe was not good. Anna Leigh brings much better energy to the partnership and keeps it fresh.

Tardio needs more experience in much the same way that ALW needed more experience. Yes, for a few hours. Hours. Not days, or weeks, or months. The biggest risk is that Ben and Tardio will initially too much surprise each other. Ben has likely been one of Tardio's role models for almost as long as Tardio has played the game. Tardio only needs to adjust to playing on the same side of the net. It won't take long. Meanwhile, Ben has seen it all, and isn't surprised by much. Ben will be surprised for a while by some of Tardio's unorthodox patterns, but it won't matter, because the opponents are going to wilt under pressure from everywhere far faster than Ben leaks a few counter-counter-counter attacks he couldn't fully anticipate. I could be wrong, but I predict that within a month, they will be on the podium for every event. It could take longer for them to settle in and consistently defeat some of their strongest opponents in the finals, who are now a big step up from the opponents Ben and Collin used to dominate.

That is so unbelievably false, Tardio has been playing pickleball for years, some with JW and a lot with Daescu. Daescu and Tardio are highly experienced and they've won several time this year, Tardio has also won I think 3 Gold's in Mixed. JW needs to stay on the left to succeed, if you've watched pickleball for some time you would know that historically JW on the right doesn't look good and Ben isn't the guy that's gonna take the right. In a dream world where Ben is okay taking the right side then that would be a some great dominance, but Ben Johns himself said that they won't be a good fit because of their left side prowess
