I'm sorry, but whenever your baby i sin the video, then I have no idea what is said or what is going on. Watching how he is so focused and caring about the animals and wanting to help is just too precious to miss a second. He is so adorable, especially with the way he walks with a purpose and so intent on helping out. You are so blessed to have two such amazing and beautiful (yes I said beautiful) sons inside and out!! It is wonderful to see that you are passing on the love, nurturing, teaching, and patience your parents had with you. You all are so blessed!

Chad, I am going to say to you what I said to Mr. Coghill. I told him to put racecar sounds when Nugget is out running. You should do the same thing when Smokey has a bad case of the zommies. Or do a horse race commentary the goats and Smokey are out running together. I love your dad's channel. He is an inspiration to senior adults in my opinion.

Let the beefy boy follow your scoop since they know that's where there food comes from. Or get a coffee can and start transporting there food in it from the can so they know that's where their food comes from the shake it let them follow you across the road for food. Food works best to train any animal to follow

Adler is so cute! His eyes lit up when he saw the big tractor. When we had cows in the pasture we would train them to the honking of the horn on the truck and the shaking of a feed sack. We would pull up and honk then start shaking the feed sack - they would come running from everywhere - maybe try getting them to follow your pink scoop since they know it already. Start feeding them closer and closer towards the new pasture.

Beautiful Adler Farms plaque. I appreciate your sense of humor so much...I get it. 😜 Fingerling potatoes are determinate, so hilling them will not make them grow more potatoes. They will put out horizontal roots and your potatoes will pretty much all be at the same depth. Indeterminate varieties will put on more potatoes if you hill them. Love love love Ben, Andrea and the kids @VWFarm. Glad they could help.

Seeing the pregnant sow brought back a 60-year-old childhood memory. I used to spend 2-3 weeks at my uncle's Nebraska farm. Sow had a litter and the piglets were so cute my cousin and I decided they were like babies. Uncle came around the corner to see me and my cousin sitting in a corner of the pen, each holding and cuddling a piglet, wrapped in a baby blanket. I'll never forget my uncle yelling at us that the sow could kill us and eat us and to stay the he** out of the pen! Gotta mute the sound as my Malamute is howling again! 😅

Chad, On our farm, we had a baby holstein that was my calf. When she was weaned, we put her in a small paddock by our pond which she loved. We raised her for the freezer but she had a mind of his own...would jump the fence to go visit our milk herd. So, we put a collar on her and a staked her in paddock. She loved grain but loved her milk more so always took both to paddock when it was time to move her...try giving them some molasses when you give them pellets...sweeten their dispositions!!! ...Cheers from Maine.

Beautiful Tree of life sign. You could feed the wet food to the animals, Some people even soak the feed to fermente it before feeding. So the wet food as long as it's not molded is good for their digestive system. If you already knew and fed it to the cows, forgive me. I wasn't sure if you dumped it over the fence where the cows had access or not. If any potatoes are above the surface definitely cover them with straw/ hay, The Sun makes the potatoes turn green and Buildup poison. BAM ...LOL Reminded me of Batman, where were the yellow lighting Bolts .😃 Love Adler closing out the vlog. Pretty soon you'll prompt him and he'll take off ! Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Chad, check with local tree services (or even the line crews you have working near you right now) usually they will be glad to give you the wood chips free and they make great stall and run filler. And you can pull it out as it composts down to use in the gardens later. They will be perfect around your raised beds for weed control too.

I would enclose the chicken area where the goats are hanging out. Put a feeding trough under one of the trees and make a dry spot for the goats out of a round wheel that came from one of the electrical departments (or wherever you get them) so they can climb and rest on it. As long as the goats have trees they won't get too wet from the rains. I know they don't like rain but it won't really kill them just get the really wet. In the winter you could set up a shed like you do for the steers so they can get out of the cold.

For your (deer deterrent fencing) I just zip tie 2x2x8s to each t post and then use fishing line crisscrossed between those. The deer will test it once and run into something they can’t see and won’t bother it again. It has worked for me for years.

We just go out into my granddaughter's goat pen and sit down. They always get curious and check us out, especially if there are hoodie strings to chew on. We've done this since day one and most of the goats always want some lovin when we get near their fence now. There are a few, non original ones who are still a bit skittish, and the original nanny always has been a rip until it's time to kid, then she's sweet, lol.

In my experience potatoes need somewhat soft ground/soil and to be planted deep for maximum production. Whatever you do you will get some taters. Ruth stout grows in straw over the ground and gets great yields. Its nature, the plants will adapt to survive. Love watching your channel. You are living your dream and have a Christian faith so as many Christian's, you don't worry cuz God is in control and no matter what he'll show you the way !!! When I was a kid I just touched it quickly on my Unckes fairy farm cuz my Dad ( that grew up on that dairy farm) taught me to just touch it quick and it's just a 5 second bokt that stings a bit lolol to this day at 62 that how I test power in a 110 volt circuit. When I was in my teens, a few of us used to help out a few weekends at the farm down the road. We were shown how to test if the fence was on using a piece of fresh "green" grass stalk. We would pick a piece about 7 or 8 inches long, hold one end and touch the other to the wire and move it closer till you felt the ting,e of the pulse. If it was on you'd generally feel it about 4 or 5vinches from your fingers. It seemed to work well unless you picked up a wet piece... then you copt it!

According to Hoss Tools website, their fingerling potatoes should be hilled up as they grow. You could take large plastic jugs, remove tops and bottoms, set over individual plants and hill up when needed. Or box frames, anything sturdy to hold the dirt in and stand up to water.
@tinafortin89583 жыл бұрын
What a great idea to Hill potatoes ... I've also when didn't have space plant potatoes in cloth bags rolled down and as they grew unrolled the bags and added earth and continued this until they were eventually filled ... Worked really well 👍
