Killy's Gravitational Emitter Gun from *_BLAME!_* is one of my favorites because it's absurdly dangerous even at it's lowest setting, so the moments where it has to be used are always really intense.

For anyone like me, who was confused by Tom's mention of 'OP' ammo in the M41A Pulse rifle; I grabbed this off the wiki (most of which is sourced from the 'Colonial Marines Technical Manual' "The cartridge consists of a 210 grain (13.6 gram), steel-jacketed and explosive-tipped projectile embedded within a rectangular propellant block of Nitramine 50.[1] Although the propellant mass is small, it is highly efficient, generating muzzle velocities of 840 meters per second. The M309 is optimized for lethality against infantry wearing personal armor, with its factory pre-set impact fuse designed to explode after the round has penetrated armor to inflict maximum damage.[1] Consequently, the round is less effective against unarmored opponents, as it will often over penetrate soft targets without detonating, leaving the victim relatively unscathed and necessitating the use of multiple hits to score a kill.[2] " That just sounds like development of conventional ballistic ammunition to me.

As for the ammunition used by the M56 Smart Gun: "The round consists of a 230 grain (14.9 gram) projectile encased in a rectangular block of Nitramine 50 propellant.[2] It offers increased power over the M309 10×24mm Caseless round used by the M41A Pulse Rifle, and also incorporates a selectable fuse setting - a switch on the weapon is used to switch between ammunition fusing modes, and the setting is applied to each round electronically as it is loaded into the chamber.[2] The Super setting is optimized for use against soft targets, detonating on impact, while the Delay setting will allow the round to penetrate armor before exploding within.[2] When used in Smartguns or sentry guns, 10×28mm Caseless rounds are stored on a roll of continuous plastic non-disintegrating link belt in an ammunition drum, which can be reloaded in the field.[2] "

Yea the bullets are just caseless ammo it's the gun that causes them to hit with the force of a 50.

Ok, I can name several cool scifi weapons they left out. First are the guns from The Fifth Element with the flamer thrower, missile launcher, net gun, freeze spray, homing bullets, and a self destruct. Another cool one are the Force Lances from Andromeda that can turn into staffs, shoot lightning, have homing bullets, grappling hooks, can be propped up to act as an AA gun, used as a grenade for last resort, and are DNA coded to only work for the owner.

I dont care how corny they look to others, the laser wands from Blake's 7 are unique amongst the rest, and wonderfully destructive/lethal. Nostalgia wins for me.

Too many cool guns to name; from Unreal Tournaments Flak Cannon, to Turoks Cerebral Bore, to Painkillers Electrodriver, and of course the Gravity Gun from Half Life 2, as just a few of the classic videogame ones. From Anime/manage/comics obviously the Lawgiver from Judge Dread has already been mentioned, but we should also put forth the Gravitational Emitter Gun from Blame!, and the Dominators from Psycho Pass instantly come to mind. I won't even get started on RWBY and its plethora of "Gun + X " combo weapons, but suffice to say sniper-scythe is a pretty awesome thing.
