As a 90s kid growing up with all these 2000s QBs retiring now, its kinda sad. Makes you feel old and that is truly becoming an end of an era. That being said the new QBs on the horizon are exciting to watch and seem to have even more to prove.

Which seemingly he has and i hope that it stays that way for all parties involved. With that being said, his on the field success and toughness and multiple superbowls and the tenure he had and stuck in there throughout the hard times I give him props for that. I hate that alot of these high-profile nfl players get a slap on the wrist for most of their off the field problems but if you're going to allow them to continue to play then unfortunately i guess it shouldn't hurt his/their, hall of fame status!

100% of serious football fans know Big Ben deserves to be a first ballot Hall Of Famer for an EXCELLENT career resume. Off the field, Big Ben was never charged or convicted of any crime. A player SHOULD NOT be denied (or even delayed) in getting in the Hall Of Fame based on ACCUSATIONS never proven in a court of law. And what's more, Big Ben's life since his 20's has been a total turnaround off the field. An all time great that ALSO reformed as a man. He deserves his gold jacket in 5 years.

He's lucky Bettis was on his team because that's the guy who really "won" that SB if u know what I mean). Ben is a 1x SB champion and he was very fortunate to win that one because it was in the '08 Season, the year Brady got injured, and we all know how the Brady-led Pats own the Steelers... That Pats team went 16-0 the year before and with Brady, they would've gone at least 14-2 at worst in '08. Ben and the Steelers still won that SB, but I just find it sad how they luckily avoided their kryptonite who not only continually beats them in the Regular Season, but also in the Playoffs (3-0 and would've been 4-0)

Dan Marino was the quote greatest passed of the football for the longest time. No its kind of a joke to say that. Sports and player evolve. Big Ben is the only QB I know that could have thrived in any era of football history. 30s, 40s, 60s, whatever the era Big Ben could shine. There won’t be another like him and I wouldn’t trade the time and memories for ANY other QB. Definition of a Steeler and one of the 🐐s

I’m not a Steelers fan, but Big Ben has always been one of my favorite QB’s in the NFL. I still don’t know why people say that the Pump Fake Master of the game has a small arm!!! He delivered the ball with steam in his prime and was a Beast in the pocket....
@alexstachura112 жыл бұрын
He deff had a couple more years but he had no o line so it's pointless. That's why they threw nothing but screen passes this yr when Ben's always had a top5 arm in the NFL but media likes to create this narrative that he can't throw deep anymore but that's play calling. He was top 3-5 QB his whole career and He has the most game winning drives EVER besides Tom Brady. That's wild honestly
@adecentyoutuber74072 жыл бұрын
All time great QB. I think it could be argued he’s top 10 ever. Became consistently good statistically after 2006(won a SB, rookie of the year, and made 2 AFC titles during that time too), won a ton of regular and postseason games, and of course we know he won 2 SBs and made it to 3. Definitely an all time great and I think he would’ve won pretty much anywhere he got drafted- I think he’s underrated all time by some people.

He's one of the toughest quarterbacks and competitor that people will miss after awhile. Especially when the new quarterback steps in and tries to fill in his shoes. It won't be long before the Fans realize how good he actually was and will be screaming for him to come out of retirement....

I don't care about his stats and things along that line. At the end of the day what he is known for is he embodied what the Steelers were about. Grit, talk no prisoners attitude, determination, and he was hard to tackle in the prime of his career. He made gutsy plays when it was necessary. I mean, he was the epitome of what it meant to be a steeler. And I'm not a huge Steeler fan, but I grew up with Ben roethlisberger at the helm. And I pray his continued success after his well-earned retirement.

Ben was an amazing player on the field. Still the youngest to win a Superbowl and only player with 4 500 yard games,3 regular season and 1 post-season. His off the field issues are something that's always going to be there unfortunately but he did turn everything around,not all can say they have done that. Hopefully the HOF voters look at it that way.

To everyone who still won't let Ben's off-the-field issues go: There was an article in the Washington Post published just before the playoff game between Pittsburgh and Denver (when Tebow was the Denver QB) called "God's Quarterbacks: Tebow and Roethlisberger". Please read it. It goes into depth about Ben straying away from God and being irresponsible and immature in his first five years as an NFL QB and how he eventually changed his ways and became a better man. I'm not going to pretend that what he did wasn't wrong, but give the man credit for cleaning up his act and turning his life around.
