@@markwest8960 I'd happily discuss this with you. The function of police in systemic oppression is a very important one. I think all middle and lower class people suffer from systemic oppression, but black people get it worse in the U.S in the same way Native people get it worse here in Canada (which I have personally witnessed many times, having grown up with native cousins who were like brothers to me). That being said, the NFL is not "private" in any sense of the word besides ownership. They broadcast on public mediums. The NFL has always had a greater percentage of black people than the rest of the country. The ownership group has become obscenely wealthy off of the talents of those black athletes, so to tell those athletes that they can't make a statement using the platform--which they earned through their athleticism and talent--to bring attention to a very old, ongoing problem, is obviously done entirely is self-interest. If black people can only speak out in places the rich white people tell them they can, the message won't ever get out, and that's by design. Some bigot player made a similar statement but against lgbtq people in the NHL and guess who said he did nothing wrong and defended him fiercely? That's right. Every conservative. Weird, coming from a group of people who wanted to ruin Kaepernick's life for doing the exact same thing. It's almost like that was never really their problem. Like Pac said, if they chose to ride, thuggin til the day they die, nobody gives a fuck about them, but when they start to rise, a hero in their children's eyes, now they give a fuck about them.

Keep doing your thing, the real question is why would anyone not want you guys to continue to think for yourselves? Personally I enjoy watching these guys expanding their knowledge and views. The country needs more of this because the matrix clearly has a hold on a large majority of people to where we can’t even talk or disagree anymore which will never fix anything in the country

Kapernick made a ton of money off his act. Way more than he would have made in the NFL. Now he's accusing his step-parents of being racist. He's a total jerk.

Y’all give me hope for the future. Not right or left, but really are willing to hear all arguments, and make an educated decision based on the facts and the different points of view on the facts. This removes the feelings, that cloud legitimate responses. Feelings do not take all the facts into account. Keep up the good work you guys. Grateful you are being real.

The issue with protesting the way Colin did was largely for the following reasons...he was protesting something that had no bearing on his job WHILE at work. No one else is allowed to protest misc. things while they are at work. You don't get on a plane to hear the stewardess advocate for Planned Parenthood or Pro Life before they give their emergency exit rules. You don't go to a restaurant to listen to your server's opinions on the cost of childcare or student loans. You don't show up at your desk job with any expectation that you can protest an issue that will alienate customers/vendors/coworkers, disrupt work, etc. without expecting to be FIRED. He should have protested at a police union headquarters, or city council, police station, etc. instead he tried to villainize ALL police - when there were approx 1 million supporting 300 MILLION people in the US - many of which don't have public-facing jobs, and of those that do - they have 50 million encounters with the public per year - and less than a dozen "unarmed" black people are killed by white police officers. If there was systemic racism of white officers toward black men/women, most wd expect that number to be considerably higher. But the reality is that more WHITE unarmed ppl are killed by police each year - doesn't mean they aren't endangering the police officer but they don't have a gun. Colin K. worked in a building with full-time police officers providing security. He got police escorts to and from visitor stadiums on their team buses. There are so many levels of hypocrisy in his position...then on top of that, he wears the cops are pigs socks and at a press conference, he wore a Fidel Castro t-shirt. He was basically pissing on everything to please his activist girlfriend without ANY thought into how it would undermine his stated goals. Also, he got a lot of pushback for making all kinds of societal demands when it became very clear that he had not done ANYTHING himself to help local black communities through his time/mentorship/investment, or philanthropy. So, then he started making donations, etc. But it was definitely a socialist mentality of using everyone elses' money but your own...so he had no credibility in the topics he was platforming, he was underperforming on the field, refused to accept a backup QB role on his own team or anywhere else and then he pissed off so many people that he was unhireable for other teams that otherwise might have picked up him as a back-up. He couldn't go to red states that are back the blue, and couldn't go to Miami or FL in general because of his Fidel Castro Shirt - roo many Cuban refugees in that state (research how deadly/dangerous Castro was to Cuban people).

Your comment would only make sense if the national anthem wasn’t played at sport events. That is the exact place to protest it. It is very much involved at his work. I shouldn’t hear a waiters political opinion while ordering dinner nor should Colin have to show his patriotism to a nation that treats minorities unfairly at a football game.

It's a slippery slope between your rights as an individual and an employer's right as an entity to set rules. I worked for a public university but they had rules I had to obey or I would have been fired. Where it really gets bad is lately they feel they have a right to determine your speech and actions outside of the workplace.
@cablebrain9691 Жыл бұрын
The National Anthem doesn’t specifically give honor to the Police, it honors our country as a whole, the principles we live by, and also our military, which keep us safe and our flag proudly flying. Kaepernick took a dump on all of that. All he did was stir the pot, causing dissension. Our world was more united before Kaepernick “took a knee.”

Some people get real uncomfortable when you start poking holes in their logic that props them up, but if it's not true, and your opening people's eye's, your doing a service to alot of people. They might not appreciate it now, but they will.

When I found you guys, you guys reminded me of what it was like to be in college again. And I enjoy your channel. I see that you guys believe in Jesus, it’s not popular, but in my heart that’s a good thing. So I’m sitting here listening to you guys talk and it’s a good thing because it’s real talk and sometimes you just have to talk about things. No one’s ever going to agree with what you guys say or how you guys feel. Sometimes we watch music videos, sometimes we watch informational stuff, sometimes we watch goofy stuff. I am brown or Mexican or whatever they’re calling us these days. I don’t know your struggles only mine. I wish I was young like you guys again and please don’t let anyone sway you from your faith no matter what it cost you in this world. God bless you guys.
