He is talking about cultural issues that are effecting children, if a new kids show promoted right wing values the left would be complaining about it to the same degree. The majority of those who "de-transition" do so because of the transphobia they experience from hateful bigots often times even coming from their own family. This is evidenced in the relevant study below. Rarely do those who de-transition because of actual regret in living their lives as a transgender individual.
