That's such a hard comparison to make considering Bens style of play. Currently he's not a really a threat as a scorer but he is a consistent player maker. He has low post D but is still lacking on the perimeter. He has the potential to be a better rebounder than LeBron with size and strength giving him upside in that respect. He has aggressiveness around the basket but has trouble finishing, yet this is his greatest asset in terms of a scorer which I assume is where some of the LeBron comparison comes from. He's a confident point-forward and really comes off more as a Magic Johnson type player. Individually however, he lacks the defense Magic has. He can improve on this. Ben has a lot of potential but there's a lot of downside to his present game. He shows a very strong work ethic and it won't be a surprise if he can overcome these hurdles and become a better player in the long run. That's the most important thing about his game right now.

Kobe threatened to leave until front office brought in pau gasol. kobe 2xFMVP 1xMVP
@jakedodsonjake8 жыл бұрын
tj mcconnell I agree about the simmons part, except the jumper, its bout the same. I disagree about the Kobe part tho, just cause kobe accused of rape don't have anything to do with his skills, so thats dumb to even mention, and second, lebron and steve nash both benefited from the kobe rape coverage, which helped them garnish mvps in kobe's most formative years, the NBA didn't want their main attraction to be an accused rapist... same reason curry is overtaking lebron, even tho lebron is clearly more effective than curry, regardless media outlets vote on mvp, so any purist will tell you, mvps aren't all the important, (btw, kobe got more allstar mvps than lebron.) KOBE has eliminated more 50+ win teams in playoffs than LEBRON, Lebron comp weak, lebron a ring chaser. its not fair to bring in what if's; kobe stayed in LA, when they were rock bottom, Lebron didn't...even tho they were competitive he flipped flopped twice, and may do it again, now that cleveland has won, and clearly isn't the favorite anymore... Kobe got more basketball skills then lebron, lebron is a more rounded player, more effective on the court, but kobe got strengths, lebron could never rival. kobe needed 1 solid 18pts & 12reb center. lebron needed 1 20pts & 5ast guard & 18pts and 10rebs forward. lebron needed more help, just look at eaches championship roster. In the last two championships with shaq, kobe averaged numbers comparable to shaq, so to say he was a sidekick was ludachris, he was just young, and didn't get the coaching staff or players unquestioned respect and green light, shaq was proven, and kobe was up and coming, their is a reason they ultimately went with kobe then shaq in the final minutes of close games, and their is a reason kobe got it done with shaq and gasol multiple times. and shaq only got it done with kobe and just once with wade, and none with hardaway, even tho he had them for formative years. kobe was clearly shaqs best asset.
@jakedodsonjake8 жыл бұрын
tj mcconnell I've grown to like lebron over the years, but he's not on kobe level yet. but he real close. lebron will never have the skills kobe got, but magic didnt have kobe skills, but magic still overall had a better career than kobe in my opinion. imo, only jordan could rival kobe skills, and still have a better career. lebron could have better career, but its too late to have the better skills.
@xtmac13x8 жыл бұрын
***** Did you read my full comment? Lebron is better than kobe in every statistical category except free throw%. Kobe was shaq's bitch. Kobe is the greatst brick layer in history. Lebron benefited from kobe's image that lead him to winning mvp? LOL Lebron's team had the best record in the league because of him check the stats. Lebron left cleveland because their front office refused to bring anyone in. Whats was their record without him? good enough to get consecutive #1 lottery draft picks? Don't act like pau gaol was kobe's only good teammate. Kobe also had artest who was DPOY, ariza w, bynum, odom. Shaq 38 16 2 60%, 29 13 5 55%, 36 12 3 59% Kobe 15 4 4 36%, 26 12 6 39%, 26 5 5 51% Shaq is obviously the head honcho. Compare Lebron james 2016 finals stats to irving. Irving played well but there is no mistake who the boss is. Kobe and Irving side kick. Kobe won against more 50+ win playoff teams? So? Lebron has shown he can sweep a 60+ win team. Lebron JUST RECENTLY beat a 70+ win team thats never been done before. Finals stats 08-09, 09-10 Pau gasol 18 9 2 60%, 18 11 2 48% Kobe Bryant 32 5 7 43%, 28 8 4 40% Team won in spite of him bricking lastly MVP>>>ALL star MVP. Check the stats and advanced stats then come back to me

For those who doesnt know the stances of dribbling there are 2 kinds: (1) "Loose dribbling stance" (stance used by K.D, iverson etc.) & the (2) "Tight dribbling stance" (the one used by Ben Simmons, Lebron etc.) For me tight is better. hurhur..
