Simmons thrives when the Sixers run small ball. He dropped 42 on Gobert earlier this year. Embiid didn’t play in this game (2018), nor the game in Utah (2021). Something tells me he doesn’t want to stay with Philly while Embiid’s there.

@@nigelthompson8143 Ben is basically a 6´10 super athletic Draymond Green, if he had players like Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Pool ect, basically a teams of elite shooters he would average a triple double while being a DPOY level player at the same time. And if he could improve his shooting, and especially his mental because you can see the guy fold when he feel just a bit of pressure, then he could potentially become as good or even better than Lebron, and im a Lebron fan but the kid almost have the same size, just a bit taller but lighter and more lenghty, and he is slower than young Lebron but defensively he is just better and this isn’t because of his size and speed, he is like a 6´10 Caruso, elite body control/balance and anticipation skill, he is easily the best 1 vs 1 defender right now and could be the best defender of all time

@Jeff Amsdell This was when we had floor spacing on our team where Simmons had plenty of room to work in the paint. Besides his shooting which I may mention is improving, Simmons is an above average rebounder, incredible playmaker, elite defender, and has an exceptional IQ. Giannis didn't take two seasons to become an all-star or a decent shooter. Simmons' FT percentage is increasing and he is using the fade and the pull-up jumper more. Give him time but he will get there. For now, we have to surround him with floor spacers like Covington, sign some more veteran leadership, and give more minutes to better shooters like Korkmaz, Milton, and Thybulle.

The Philadelphia 76ers need to stay away from LeBron James! Everyone talks about how LeBron would be a great fit for the 76ers and he would be able to compete with the Golden State Warriors with that team and while all of that is true, it would be a bad move for the 76ers. Once LeBron joins the team it will be all about him, the whole system changes and coaching becomes redundant. It is a short term fix that would ruin the team the second he leaves. To make matters worse you already have a player that plays like LeBron in Ben Simmons. By adding Bron you stunt the development of Simmons, Fultz and Saric as they all have to let LeBron run the offense and dominate possessions. What's the point in signing LeBron and being great for 3-4 years when the 76ers could have their own dynasty for many more years to come. They tanked for all these years and have now compiled a bucket full of great talent, why would you want to throw it all away for a short term fix? With all the cap space they have available, they should sign a player that would compliment Simmons and Embiid. Paul George would be that player.

Well done Philly, I see the only difference between Lebron and Ben is the 3point shot! When you look at both styles of play they are almost identical, I can't wait for the playoffs

People forget Lebron didn't have a consistent 3 pointer until like 7 years in his career. It took him like 3 years to just get the mid range down consistently. People overrate jump shooting, you can still dominate without it, but it's nice to have as a complementary bonus to your strengths.

Almost but Bron was 6’8 250 and athleticism was off the charts and he was getting 20 at will

GET A TRADE. -- THAT IS A GOOD MOVE for SIMMONS. EXPLORE A TEAM THAT WILL MAXIMIZE YOUR SKILLS AND TALENT. Will just require a cut in cost salaray, but you can get it once YOU PROVE BACK YOUR WORTH.

Look at how much better the Sixers are with outside shooting. JJ and Marco really opened up the floor for Simmons to operate, then when Simmons drove in, defense was always wary as he had the vision and skill to kick it out to a shooter. I know everybody says they need outside shooting but when everybody says the same thing it's probably cause it's true.

Time is flying. Focus on your journey. They are living their dream, maybe not Ben but Lebron is.

Ben Simmons was being called the next Magic Johnson by almost every NBA reporter, now these days he's become the next Michael Olowokandi.
