My wife and I went to Fort Myers, Florida about 10 years ago. A lot of the old-timers were alive then. I ran into a couple of Ernie's Signature Sound guys in the bathroom during intermission. I got to hear Janet Pascal live! And when we were in West Virginia John Starnes came to an old country church and sang for 2 hours, donations only! He brought tapes and song along.

Ivan Parker and I wrote When Morning Sweeps the Eastern Sky the first Thursday of October in 1973. Ivan came to visit me during his fall break. My pastor was in the middle of a series of Wednesday night Bible studies on the end times. This song was originally written in Flemish and then we worked together to translate it into English.
