I believe the cut to Ben staring at us at 1:05 was a much needed addition!

Love this! Such a fat juicy bass trombone tone! Love the waltz aspect of it and the intensity! Also, the inclusion of the alex ross joker and harley was a great touch! Really fits the tone! Been coming back to this for years! 😅😎🥹👍🏻🫡

Believe it or not, I prefer this "low fidelity" home production over the high quality pro recording of Martin and Tomer. No other bass trombonist has such a great warm tone, sounding so relaxed and easy going even in the most difficult parts. It's not only the german-style Thein trombone that certainly has it's part in getting this sound, it's mostly Ben himself. Buying this really beautyiful trombone does not make you automatically sound like Ben. Some years ago, I tried his trombone model myself. For me as amateur it was much too heavy and very hard to play. Not blaming the trombone but the player. I'm glad I already found my light-weight Lätzsch Cieslik before, much lighter in weight and much easier to play for me - but going into the same direction sound wise.

This is the kind of sound that my section and I dream of one day achieving. I have shown this video to them and we agree that Ben van Dijk has a magnificent sound. Know that we were all inspired by it ^.^

Ben, I've admired your playing and style for years. I love your sound. Did you use any kind of metronome for this? If not, your sense of pulse to lock in those different parts is unmatched!

The effect of the different parts being on being separate with headphones and such really messed me, good job playing, I think at some points it’s meant to be a bit slower, just a thought.

The performance was decent, I PERSONALLY feel as though the tone quality on the lower register could have been fatter/had more depth, in my opinion almost all the notes sounded thin. Could be better but everything else was decent. Overall not bad
