AC LFM VRC Touring cars has been some of the most fun racing I have done in a long time and it looks like I'm nit the only one that thinks that. Great battle and result after that less than ideal start 👍🏻
@junitoortega8656 Жыл бұрын
I noticed AC is very forgiving when it comes to the grass, people go off but they recover rather quickly, at 8:29 he went out and came back. That would have been almost race ending in iRacing because he would have spun out or hit the wall.
@sorrowandsufferin924 Жыл бұрын
I'm guessing a part of it is that AC is driven less than iRacing, so there are fewer people exploiting the grass physics, leading to a sim that can have more forgiving grass physics. I know it happened a lot in iRacing that people would take track cuts over the grass to save time, and that's one component in iRacing's grass physics being as dreadful to cars as they are. Here, there's a track cut system running (which might be a part of LFM) that, I believes, either gives you a penalty or disqualifies you if you cut the track 3 times.
@mikecroshaw9233 Жыл бұрын
@@sorrowandsufferin924 actually AC is the one sim that is driven pretty much just as much as iRacing, but not so much in competitive online ( although WSM has been running it for some time ).
@mementomori49729 ай бұрын
Yeah and AC is very vulnerable to a specific cheat. If I see someone constantly making mistakes but recovering so fast and having so much more exit speed, I get instantly suspicious.

Clean racing!? I’m not 3 mins in and it’s absolute mayhem every couple corners. Must have been 30 bits of contact and over half a dozen cars flying off the track. Absolutely fun to watch though. I’m sure the race settles in and the OP had a great battle with another driver or two. I love those races or practice sessions when you find a few people you’re neck and neck with while giving respect. THE reason we do this. Seems like a good bit of this field is quite new at least to racing with other humans. Once the lights go out nerves and things can take a hot lap hero or fast practice guy and turn his skills upside down. Not knocking anyone, just making an observation. Great video though! Awesome first 3 mins of viewership. Might even sub!

@Slakass55 Жыл бұрын
Ben I suspect I know why you lost 10 positions off the start: you waited until the green light to engage first gear. You might want to shift into first once the red lights go on, with a foot on the brake in order to ensure the car doesn't move ahead and get a penalty - while giving it some throttle. Some cars won't move even at full throttle, so you need to experiment ahead of time to see how much you can give before it nudges ahead, in order to avoid a potential penalty. This way you won't lose so much time once the green drops. Same technique we all use in motocross and if you knew how many holeshots I got in the past (before I had kids and gave up racing real bikes), you'd realize why this is key to a good start. On the plus side at least you avoided being taken out at the mess at the first turn. That could easily have been you going upside should you have had a good start. What is low fuel moto for those of us fairly new to sims?
@richardsracingmad Жыл бұрын
The game settings for these cars don’t allow us to select a gear until Green Light
@Slakass55 Жыл бұрын
@@richardsracingmad Really, so AC doesn't allow you to put the car in gear before the green shines? Doesn't sound very realistic to me, surprised to hear of this oversight from what should be a proper sim. Will have to remember this before I see AC on sale again and contemplate whether to take the plunge. Thanks for clarifying this.

Played few of VCR and Clio Cup - it's way better than iRacing and soo much cheaper. Actually raced most of the roster from your race. The only cons are few dirty players (RacingMad with blue flag causing collisions to other ppl, DD not understanding that other cars are not ghosts etc.), but it's because they are probably new to LFM and online racing. Or simply dirty :D
@richardsracingmad Жыл бұрын
Begs the question….if you are so great, why are you in my split?
@MiPDarnok Жыл бұрын
@@richardsracingmad Not sure what rating has to do with racecraft but ok. Anyway - everyone makes mistakes and it's important that we learn from it. No need to be defensive here, simple "sorry will get better" is enough
@richardsracingmad Жыл бұрын
@@MiPDarnok you call me a dirty player….thats rude. I have a right to be on the defensive. How about you improve you driving, and then you will start in a higher Split? 😂
@MiPDarnok Жыл бұрын
@@richardsracingmad I said that you are either dirty or a newcomer that doesn't know the rules. The fact that you don't understand what a blue flag is (or even how splits are made) completely proves the latter. I shouldn't put you in the same spot as DD guy who made a mistake and started to block faster cars. Sorry for being a little bit salty - though that "blue flag divebombing a guy on the final corner" chad like you could handle some critique ;). Technically I could report you for that + brake checking me (I do have replays saved), but I think those are just ill-managed emotions + lack of experience. I'm not gonna drag this argue, especially under the video of a creator that I very like and I see you do as well. But I keep my advice to you (in all honesty and without wrong intentions) - learn how to say "sorry" (or at least don't get so defensive if you feel a guy might be right), keep your emotions in check (especially during the race- sometimes you will make a mistake and lose a lap, sometimes it will be mistake of another driver), learn the rules (no, you don't have the right to defend under the blue flag, read LFM code of conduct which you state that you've read every time before you sign up to race) and all will be good :) cheers!

Ahh yikes, he started the dive after he turned in. His front bumper wasn’t even past the other guys front tires. Should have given the place back or been penalized. That was a massive dive bomb. Exciting to watch since it was bumper cars. I bet if you watched all the onboards this would have been happening everywhere all the time. But I’m not knocking really. I’m not a pro, made mistakes in my racing. This entire video so far up to 8mins reminds me of iracing rookie mx5 class my first few races.
