Caleb was really over the top with the constant clinching. Caleb displayed high boxing skill throughout the fight, tho it's interesting how David started to go back and adapt as Caleb was being exhausted. David never seemed to be bothered by Caleb's power in the entire fight. And Caleb had heart to stay on his feet for 12 rds even if the referee helped him. A classic for me

That fight should have ended in Plant getting KO'D. Floyd never cried during his fights. Floyd also made exciting fights. At first I thought “The Mexican Monster” was the dumbest nickname I’d ever heard, but after watching this fight-it’s probably the most accurate nickname of all time. Dude just keeps coming after you like Michael Myers. In the later rounds, Plant was running and looking for some place to hide and Benavidez, stone faced, just stalked him down wherever he went. Dude must have some dynamite in his fists because Plant’s whole demeanor changed real quick after Benavidez connected on some shots around 8. Much respect to the Mexican Monster!

In fairness to Plant, his steep falloff in this fight did coincide with that nasty headbutt he took. His legs never recovered after that. Also, I felt the announcers were off base with their criticism of the ref-since when is tying up illegal in boxing? And he stopped the fight after the head-butt-which was nasty. Regardless, great fight. Does seem like Plant would have to fight almost perfect to beat this guy.

Benavidez defence is underrated. You can see his team has been working on his footwork. The biggest fight that is cooking beneath people's noses that noone is speaking of atm is Benavidez vs Morrell. That is the future mega-fight of nce Morrell collects more wins and hopefully titles. The two styles are explosive, defensive, tenacious...both promising an out and out dohouse classic to be remembered throughout the generations. Would love both of them to step up a weight class to face Bivol too. Absolutely scintillating fights ahead in boxing. All of them still not yet reached their peak.

He makes the most basic of mistakes when walking forward and that cost him that knockdown against gavril in their first fight, specifically walking back foot first. This was such a fun fight which lead to the start of many. The taunting and shoawboating, the beef going into the fight, really giving the fans what they wanted out of a boxing match. They also gained each others respect throughout the fight, you can see it with the smiling.
