2:42 he did a whopping 4 inch press. My arms are 37 inches, say minus 6 inches for my chest, so I lift almost 3 feet or 9 times that distance he did. For time under tension, I do 9 times the work per lift. For 10 lifts I am doing 90 times the work.

Hey Dave. So I’ve been dealing with bad tennis elbow lately and I have had a feeling it is from benching. I have been focusing on tucking my elbows in and squeezing my traps like many people teach. This week I incorporated your unrack method, elbow flare and wrist position method, and flattened my upper back, essentially I followed everything you teach in how to bench. I managed to do comp bench Monday and Thursday, feet up bench and close grip bench Saturday , and touch and go bench Sunday…. All said and done I logged around 20 total sets of bench around the 3-5 rep range this week, all between 7-9RPE range, And I have next to zero tennis elbow pain. I also managed to completely change my form without taking any weight off the bar. I can’t thank you enough for your bench press series.
