Bench Testing a VW Fuel Gauge Vibrator and Sending Unit - Aircooled Volkswagen gas gauge not working

Testing an Aircooled Volkswagen Fuel Gauge with the Sending Unit from a 1971 VW Super Beetle.
This is an old video I had made in the past and came across, thought it may help some people trying to figure out why the VW gas gauge isnt working.

Hey GWB, yes this video does help to understand the DC flow of the fuel gauge network. I am a new VW Beetle owner (1971 Super) and the fuel gauge is not registering at all and I am just beginning the testing phase to find out who's laying down on the job. Good demonstration, Thank You.

What is the vibration thing ?

the Vibrator stabilizes the gauge, so the needle will not bounce around and can hold a steady reading.

Yes it would have, but KZbin was new to me in 2008. Appreciate you looking, hope you can get your fuel gauge going.
