The most underrated machining channel on KZbin. Mr peter is great , but the organization , detailed walk through projects, explanations and available prints is top notch. Thank you for making me a better machinist!

I am always delighted when you post another video. I have been at the machines for a while as a hobby, but I always find review good, especially with your teaching approach. Good Jog and well done.

Hi Marc, thanks for this excellent series! I'm looking forward to a new lesson, and although I would prefer 'materials', I'm sure whatever will it be, it will be good... Thanks again for your effort and happy machining!

I would like to see how you use the surface gauge shown in your video. It seems all machinists have at least six of them, but I have yet to see them in use. This was another excellent, useful video. I have had the great pleasure of going into depth in the field of music, and this pleasure is revived each time I get to "fill in the holes" in the machining profession. Much appreciated here. I hope your winter is a lot easier than mine has been. Phew! A rough one here.

Hi Jim, as always it is great to hear from you! This has been the coldest winter in many many years and I must admit that minus five would feel like spring, I am presently using my wood safety reserve for the wood stove. Her are two links that will take you to videos where I use the surface gauge. The first is kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZqmpXaMYqmhqbc&feature=player_detailpage#t=1384 and the second is kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnXRpWWkocajgdE&feature=player_detailpage#t=285 it is important to note that many people use their magnetic base for holding a dial indicator when working on the surface plate. magnetic bases aren't all that flat and don't generally have a real accurate fine adjustment on them. A surface gauge is much more accurate. Happy viewing, Marc L'Ecuyer

I always enjoy your terrific videos. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. One point on this video, at 14:20 aren't those dividers instead of protectors? Keep up the great work!
