Benchmade 940 Versus Clone

A look at a Benchmade 940 clone. I saw these for sale on ebay for an inflated price. Watch out for scams on many popular knives.

Great comparison between the authentic 940 and the counterfeit. 👍 I too have recently experienced this myself; I have a fake ZT 0562 and I have an authentic one on loan from a friend to compare. In hand, you can easily spot differences between the two; not so easy though if you've only ever handled the fraudulent one though. 🤔 Anyway, like you I don't condone supporting scammers trying to pass off the fakes as bonafides and I'm glad you're spreading awareness about it. 🙏Take care my friend and Cheers!

Someone that is new to knives and doesn't know much could easily be duped by the fakes. Hopefully someone will see this or any video about the fakes and as a result not be fooled.

Great video showing the difference on these. I hate that people get duped by these. I’d definitely spend the extra $$ for the real deal or any other USA brand you can trust like you stated.

There are so many good axis lock style knives available now that the patent has expired. The Vosteed is just one of them. They are not much more than the fakes and are much better quality.

I also only purchase from reputable dealers and a few private purchases here and there. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people that do not know much about knives that could easily get scammed by these fakes. They may not know the difference for some time until they learn. Hopefully, this video will help someone that is new to knives!

Really appreciate this for sure. I cant stand i crook or lier and the ones that sale these are exactly that. I alos know the more we mention the details of the fake the more they will work on fixing those problems. That being said we just have to keep fighting it. Bar sticking out I like as well the kershaw iridium or at least the topo doesnt stick out enough for me. Have a fantastic day

The Iridium is another fantastic knife for the money! I have seen them in the 50's now! All we can do is to keep passing on info and educating people so that they don't get taken!

Yah, the copies are getting better. If they used G10 and a better quality pocket clip more people would be fooled! I don't mind a clone marketed as a clone so much but when they try to pass them off as the real thing to rip people off, I don't like it!
