Has everyone forgot that this knife is a old design that Allen Elishewitz designed for Benchmade years ago? I believe it was the first knife Allen designed for Benchmade. Nobody, no reviewers nor Benchmade has mentioned that. The model the "foray 968" is (copied) from is the Benchmade 690. C'mon give credit to Allen Elishewitz, maybe he and Benchmade had a falling out I don't know but this knife is a 690 with axis lock instead of liner lock (as the original) and different pocket clip. Even the dimensions are the same. The 690 was/is one of my all time favorite EDC's I'll have to get one of these 698's It bugs me that Allen's name is nowhere to be mentioned...anyone know why?

He finished cooperation with BM but they've right to mix his designs he made for them - if not he could sue them. Benchmade 913, 908, 909, 698 are based on older designs and have that spirit but they weren't designed directly by him so they don't have his logo. Why he finished with BM? Maybe because he changed a little bit his style. After BM era his custom knives were more beffy and chunky with more gold ornamentation which is visible in his cooperation with CRKT.

+Pancho Villagas , yes, I do like the knife. it is very smooth in the pocket and it feels good in hand. I love to look. its very class and cool. The blade steel is fantastic. I only have a minor negative to the knife and that is the weight. I wish it was about a half ounce lighter. that being said if it could hit the $180 mark it will be a solid deal. overall I give it a 4.8/5.

I don’t think the recurve is intentional, most likely a result of an improper sharpening.

No it's intentional comes that way from factory. If you listened to the video he said it's still factory edge
