Apple seeds actually do hurt you - in extreme doses though. Apple seeds contain cyanide. A 150 lb man would have to eat the seeds of about 20 apples to die from cyanide poisoning... so there's that.

I feel like this would be Ben’s ideal knife because he is always leaning towards small lightweight knives. I tend to lean towards the bigger blades my self but, this would be really good for him since he could use it for all the random things people use their knives for as well as a self defense tool. I say that because I believe that Ben has mentioned that being an aspect of a knife that he wants from previous episodes.

I very much like mine, but definitely believe it was poorly named. This is an awesome blade for regular EDC tasks, especially when wearing basketball shorts, which is annoying with a heavy blade. However, i would much rather take a stronger and slightly heavier folding knife when camping/hiking, like my Cold Steel Finn Wolf. Not too much heavier and can withstand more wood processing (although would still rather use a fixed blade). Nice video though guys.

I love Benchmade knives. Just bought 2 from wish (😂), and now I'm out almost $15.⁰⁰ !! Nice clone, no where near as nice as the _real deal,_ but I can't afford to pay more than $50 for a pocket knife; I can get almost 100 rds of 5.56 for that $$. Much more important for me, personally.

I have this exact knife, was thinking of going to a 940, but I can't. It became my edc, its gonna stay my edc. Best knife money can buy for an edc. You can wear it with sweatpants, that's my mark for a knife. I still think it's overpriced, but oh well, it lasts forever.
@Seveneleven44
@Seveneleven44 7 жыл бұрын
Wayyy overpriced as usual. Bought one of the g10 griptillians when they were available for preorder-order from blade hq. is it a nice knife? Yes. Is it worth $200? Fuck no. I wouldn't pay more than $120 for it, if I bought it again, and the only reason being the m390 blade steel. You can get better knives for cheaper. I know I'm beating a dead horse...

I got the Bugout 535 BK2 recently based upon the reviews and have to say it is not worth the money - I am confused by your review The handle feels extremely cheap, the thickness of the overall thickness of the handle is too small for someone with reasonably sized hands. The blade whilst sharp is small and thin. For the price, my Gerber is a much better knife at 1/3rd of the price, whilst not having the same blade, the handle is more usable and the size of the knife is double that of the bugout. Please think carefully about buying this knife, the cost of the Benchmade's is not value for money!

Does anyone know of a good way to tell if a Bugout is a counterfeit? I got one off a friend really cheap and he said he didn't pay anywhere near retail for it new from a brick and mortar cutlery store. It has all the correct billboarding, weight, colors and action. Benchmades, imho, are one of the brands that really have most people fooled. They're a great example of "paying for the brand name." I'm not saying they aren't good blades, especially the black box stuff, but most of their prices are ridonkulous. $200 for the Altitude? Come on B'made, seriously?

Great knife, but honestly get a pair of Ti or carbon fiber after market scales , wake it a whole new knife. the grivory flexable handles are too flimsy in my opinion I think Benchmade shaved off too much weight, if they didnt make the inside of the scales web like and made them solid for only a few grams more , it most likely get rid of the flex issue most people are concerned about.

I Disagree with you Hans!! I think the handle on the Mel Pardue designed Benchmade 530 is just fine for what it is, It's all about philosophy of use!! Are you kidding me, the Benchmade 530 is not the knife I'm going to be feather stick making/carving or doing hard use tasks with like you suggested. For light EDC tasks the 530's handle is just fine. The issue/problem I see with the new Benchmade 535 is that you made the 535 so light weight and so slim that it's now at the point were it becomes flimsy. Polymer handled knife with CPM-S30V for $115.00 are you kidding me!! Mat Pricing goes up, potential paying customers stop and go away!! Spyderco's have Much better value for what your getting!! I've all ways wondered why can't Benchmade ever be competitive with their prices?

Not all hikers want robust knives. Tons of ultralight hikers bring nothing more than a micro-sized swiss army knife or opinel. They're just glorified nail trimmers to open packages and cut loose strings. This gives them a better blade with more capabilities without sacrificing much weight for the upgrade.
