There were definitely some lesbian undertones in this film and everytime i watch it's like they were gaslighting Jules' mom and myself lol. Like i know what i'm seeing. Would've love to see how their friendship was after they left for the U.S. for college 👀👀lol JK. Crazy that Tony had to lie and almost get engaged to Jess for her to finally stand up to her parents and tell the truth. This just reinforces that strict parents create sneaky kids(and that goes for both sisters). It was more important to see her as a good girl and daughter than to wholeheartedly support her unconditionally. The whole movie everyone in her culture was just concerned about what others would think about them and it was annoying af. Glad you're back in motion Tyra, until next video.

@@StruggleReviewzTV you should check out East is East(1999) if you haven’t seen it. It’s a comedy-drama about a Pakistani man trying to force arranged marriages on his biracial kids(2nd marriage) in Manchester, ENG. The 2nd one, West is West(2010) was alright.

You really thrown this back in this review! I love this movie and I remember watching it multiple times growing up and always remembering that this was a unique movie that really had a lot to say. I haven’t seen it in sometime but maybe a rewatch is due. Another awesome review as always an absolutely loved hearing you talk about this one because Bend it Like Beckham is definitely a movie that still stands out 22 years later 🙂

To reply to your comment on the live. I agree that women's soccer has come a long way including here in the U.S. and women's players are way better than the U.S. men's players. For me, soccer is an interesting game and a little grueling but not as grueling as American Football with the nasty injuries, hard tackles, and concussions.
