Wonder if a white paint pen would work. I bought white paint pens at Walmart.

Those might work alright. It would definitely be best to bend, sand, prime, then paint, then seal... but that take a while. This is the basics I guess.. A white paint pen or even white nail polish would probably get the job done.

@@modeltrain9500 I definitely want to try and make handrails. A project in the future.

Good video tutorial. I don't like the plastic either, they're not good, always breaking, I have models that need handrails, so I guess I'm gonna give it a go ! Chuck

I wish I would have tried this years ago after breaking so many athearn rails. Intermountains rails were pretty fragile for a while too, something about the plastic made them look stiffer, but also more prone to breaking.

What name and type of glue do you use
@modeltrain9500 Жыл бұрын
Depends what I'm gluing, but usually testors plastic cement is my go to. If you are gluing lenses, I would use a clear canopy glue meant for modeling "glass" objects. For these handrails, I didnt glue then, just friction fit.
