Flexion and bend! How this used to confuse me but once I got it straight in my head I never felt confused again. I hope this video helps you too. 🙂

Thank you for the detailed explanation and examples on flexion. I'm a new rider and I have been having trouble understanding what flexion is and why I can't use the reins correctly. The explanation of the horse's muscles and joints was a massive help, I think I'll be able to get the hang of it now. Thanks!

Very helpful, thank you! My mare is a retired racer, and youth jumper. I have worked so hard this past year to understand her stiffness and how to work through it. This explanation helps me break it down and know what to look for. Awesome, I can't wait to add this to our routine. 😊

What would I do for a horse who walks off when I attempt to ask him to flex whilst on his back? He tends to race off once you mount and takes you moving the rein as his cue to turn. Love your videos they’ve been super helpful!

Hi, I’ve recently bought a young horse, and she is broke, but not well broke. Just wondering if you have any tips specific to young horses? Or if there’s a video of yours you can point me to? If you could just let me know what you believe to be the most important to work on with her first that would be great. (Sorry what I’ve asked is likely confusing, I’m not great at wording things) Thanks!

Hi Hanna, I would start at the beginning. If a horse comes to me for training I always start with ground work and see where there are holes in their training. My channel is just in it's early days and I don't have a lot of videos up yet so I would recommend you go and look through these one. You will find plenty here. kzbin.info/door/413ZepFqtG6Bhb8Lv7ugFA I am happy to help you with any questions you might have. Good luck and let me know how you go.
