Bending aluminum longer lengths than the brake

Here is a way to bend aluminum longer than the brake. Comes in handy if you need something longer than the brake for a sill pan, window sill or whatever application you desire. It’s not completely idea for bending a lot. But for a piece or two, can be nice. Wrapped garage doors that were 12’ tall before and no seams by doing this and many other applications. 10’6” brake is typical but there are other sizes. This video is simply to demonstrate how you can bend something longer than your brake.

Seems like a much easier option for this thin stuff is to just clamp some extensions onto the sides. You could even make it more permanent by drilling a few holes in the top and bottom and bolting extensions on. That would take an hour tops to build and you are not wasting time turning 1 bend into 10 bends each time.

I think bending the aluminum would be easier that to listen to all yer chatter 😁
