Please post a video how you would go about cutting a bunch of 1 1/2” flat stock using your systems

Depends how you're cutting? With a blade knife or a cutting slitter?

Using your whole system. The material stopper, the slitter, the measure sticks….. i can do flat stock with knife and your measure sticks… but curious how you would make 1 1/2” flat stock using the slitter on a pro 14 brake with slitter.

@@aluminumtrim do you do 1.5" wide often? Seems very narrow of a piece to start with? The stopper wont go down to 1.5" so i would probably use the stoppers to rip down to 12" then into 6in and then 3" and then slice the 3inches into the (2) 1.5" using the magnetic measuring tools? That what i think would be the most efficient? Once you have the (2) 12s in the beginning double stack them to cut 2 thick at a time? Let me know if that makes sense?

Makes sense to me… but yeah, i have to make 1” to 1 1/2” flat stock often and was trying to wrap my brain how i could achieve it with the slitter efficiently. Would be fast af. Just the measure gauges get in way of slitter… i wonder if i could improvise a peace on the stopper to go back farther into the anvil of the brake to catch at a 1 1/2….

@@aluminumtrim or cut (2) 12", stack them and then pull the stoppers towards the front by 1" (or 1.5" or which ever measurment) so that the material comes out of the brake for the size you need to cut and go through this process until you no longer can

Hey at least you make tools to make it easier. I bought a J-Dan brake setup Probably 15 years ago, very innovative company, my cutter came with a holder for my brake back then. Also bought a set of clip on guides but they don’t stay like yours do. Sadly one owner died and so did the company. I also have a Tapco, if I sell my J-Dan setup and keep the tapco, I’ll need some of your stuff, thanks.

Good morning cooltito! The measurements are really up to you but in this instance we started with a 12" piece, nailing flanges are 1.5" and the longer corner part are each 3", the 2 other measurements making the J part on each side are 3/4", let me know if you have any questions! Thanks!

Nice videos, can you tell me what width the piece of metal is you start with? No video I’ve ever seen does, it would be helpful for non-experts, thanks

for this one 12'' simply a matter of adding up the total of all the measurements necessary to creating your piece in order to finding out the over all length! :)

The only drawback to this system is that you can't use your Pro Cut-Off, or the Van mark equivalent. The device is in the way. I've always tried to avoid using a razor knife whenever possible to avoid the inevitable "slips" onto the stainless. And I'm sure that anyone who's been around for a while has razor marks on their stainless. Especially if they've had inexperienced new guys. I've owned 3 brakes (all Tapco) and all of them have had cut marks on the stainless.

Thank you for your comment A.S. Yes indeed our magnetic measuring brackets need to be removed when cutting with either our Innovatools 2-way cutting tool or Tapco's pro cutoff or Vanmark Slitters. The measuring accessory i prefer to use when making cuts using a cut off tool is our Stopper tool which does not interfere with the cutting tools. Once my pieces are cut to the correct width then i use our magnetic measuring tool. Keep in mind this was the first brake accessory i invented/launched to market and we since then have launched multiple brake accessories to make every aspect of bending/cutting much more efficient compared to what was previously available on the market. Our new Modular Brake that will start shipping in the next few weeks will be a game changer! kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6O2ZoOIjJ2Vm8k

I really like the alumapole brake, especially lifetime warranty on wearable parts. Thanks for the heads up on your new brake. I plan to sell one of mine, do you have an estimate of features and price,? if it has everything I may sell one now and one after yours comes out, thanks
